Besuchen Sie Italien auf der internationalen Weinmesse ProWein vom 15. bis zum 17. Mai 2022 in Düsseldorf
Am Gemeinschaftsstand der italienischen Außenhandelsagentur Italian Trade Agency (ICE/ITA) in Halle 17 zeigen 28 ausgewählte Wein- und Spirituosen-Erzeuger aus zehn Regionen, was sie an DOC/DOCG- und IGT-Qualitäten zu bieten haben.
Die Palette der teilnehmenden Winzereibetriebe reicht von der kleinen Boutique-Winery über den „Newcomer“ auf internationalem Parkett bis hin zum traditionsreichen Exportunternehmen. Sie kommen aus Abruzzen, Apulien und Friaul, aus der Lombardei, Kalabrien und dem Piemont, aus der Toskana und Venetien sowie von den Inseln Sardinien und Sizilien. Ihr Angebot für den internationalen Weinhandel umfasst klassische Weiß-, Rosé- und Rotweine, Spumante und Prosecco sowie verschiedene Grappa-Spezialitäten.
Italien ist der weltweit größte Weinproduzent und besitzt eines der differenziertesten Rebensortimente in Europa. Aktuell werden rund 1.000 Traubensorten kultiviert, von denen rund 400 als DOC gelten.
Fast 700.000 Hektar Weinberge gibt es im Land. 49 Millionen Hektoliter Wein wurden im Jahr 2021 produziert. Damit lag Italien 2021 an erster Stelle im Ranking der weltweiten Weinproduktion.
Italiens Anbaufläche für Biowein umfasst 109.423 Hektar, was fast einem Viertel (23 Prozent) der weltweiten Anbaufläche entspricht. Damit liegt Italien nach Spanien und Frankreich hier auf Position drei. In Italien gibt es derzeit 2.139 ökologische Weinkellereien, die im letzten Jahr (2021) 2.251.062 Hektoliter produziert haben.
Auch die Deutschen lieben italienischen Wein. Im Jahr 2020 wurde erstmals Wein im Wert von über einer Milliarde Euro importiert, ein positiver Trend, der sich auch 2021 mit einem Plus von 7,8 Prozent fortsetzte. Dieser Erfolg geht auch auf die Aktivitäten der Italian Trade Agency zurück.

Visit Italy at the International Wine Fair ProWein, 15-17 May in Düsseldorf
At the joint booth of the Italian foreign trade agency Italian Trade Agency (ICE/ITA) in Hall 17, 28 selected wine and spirits producers from ten regions will show what they have to offer in terms of DOC/DOCG and IGT qualities.
The range of participating wineries extends from the small boutique winery to the "newcomer" on the international stage, and to the traditional export company. They come from Abruzzo, Apulia and Friuli, from Lombardy, Calabria and Piedmont, from Tuscany and Veneto, as well as from the islands of Sardinia and Sicily. Their offer for the international wine trade includes classic white, rosé and red wines, spumante and Prosecco, as well as various grappa specialties.
Italy is the world's largest wine producer and has one of the most diverse ranges of grapes in Europe. Around 1,000 grape varieties are currently cultivated, of which around 400 are considered DOC.
There are almost 700,000 hectares of vineyards in the country. 49 million hectolitres of wine were produced in 2021. This put Italy in first place in the ranking of global wine production in 2021.
Italy's organic wine acreage is 109,423 hectares, which is almost a quarter (23 percent) of the world's acreage. This puts Italy in third place after Spain and France. In Italy there are currently 2,139 organic wineries that produced 2,251,062 hectolitres last year (2021).
The Germans also love Italian wine. In 2020, wine worth more than one billion euros was imported for the first time, a positive trend that continued in 2021 with an increase of 7.8 percent. This success is also due to the activities of the Italian Trade Agency.
