🍅🇮🇹 Inspiring the next generation of hospitality professionals through the authentic flavours of Italy!

The Italian Trade Agency (ITA) – Kuala Lumpur Office continue its collaboration with Euroconsult Sicilia and @oipomodorocentrosud and has successfully concluded another @etomaato initiative with Cooking Seminar at Sunway University on 17 July 2026.

The seminar brought together students from @sunwayuniversity's Culinary Management and Culinary Arts programmes, with the support of Professor Chong Wei Tzeh, Culinary Operation Coordinator, to explore the excellence of European processed tomatoes through education and hands-on culinary experiences.

As part of the European Tomato, a Red Passion (EtomAato) campaign, co-funded by the European Union under DG AGRI, the programme featured a presentation by Professor Andrea Paduano from the Faculty of Languages and Linguistics, Universiti Malaya, followed by a live cooking demonstration by Chef Nicola Affattati of Graze, Hilton Kuala Lumpur. The students also enjoyed a guided blind tasting session showcasing the quality and versatility of authentic Italian processed tomatoes.

Through initiatives like EtomAato, ITA continues to promote authentic Italian food culture while strengthening collaboration with Malaysia's future hospitality professionals.
