🚟 Celebrating Design Excellence: The 10th Edition of Italian Design Day 2026 in Kuala Lumpur

Italian Design Day 2026 is organised under the theme “RE-DESIGN: Regenerating spaces, objects, ideas, and relationships” embracing both urban regeneration and the renewal of objects, while drawing on Italy’s exceptionally rich heritage of knowledge and expertise 🏗️🔍🌳🧪

The event promotes by the @italymfa to celebrate and showcase the excellence of Italian design worldwide, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and in partnership with the @itakualalumpur and the @italyinkualalumpur, supported by @ied_official, @rizoma_official & @uniklpage 🇮🇹🤝🇲🇾

The launch event, hosts by the Embassy of Italy in Kuala Lumpur and the Italian Trade Agency - Kuala Lumpur on 31 March 2026, aims to highlight Italy’s creativity, craftsmanship, and innovation, further strengthening the visibility and positioning of Italian brands within the Malaysian design and architecture community 👷🏼‍♂️

In his address, Ambassador Langella underscores how Italian design seamlessly blends innovation, sustainability, and creativity, enriching everyday life while fostering a more inclusive and circular economy. The programme continues with insights from distinguished speakers, including Prof. Giacomo Bertolazzi (IED), Mr. Fabrizio Rigolio (Rizoma), and Professor Dr. Mohd Razif Idris, CEng MIMechE (UniKL MIDI), who explored the evolving role of design as a catalyst for innovation, sustainability, and human-centred solutions. 🇮🇹🤝🇲🇾
