- Company details
Pazzini Stampatore Editore is a company specialized in sheet-fed offset printing located in Villa Verucchio, on the hills surrounding Rimini.
It is together printing industry and publisher, a model of integration between artisanal culture and today's advanced technologies.
We offer a 360° service, from the prepress to the printing process, from bookbinding to logistic, with structured departments divided in our over 16,800sqm between production department, warehouse, offices and parking lots.
In 135 years the company has seen the alternation of 4 generations at the wheel, and has set up among its spaces a rich museum of printing history.
Offset printing has always been our core business and passion, so every year we invest a part of our profits in researching and developing new printing techniques.
Below some examples of our specializations:
BIGamut: printing with a larger CMYK gamut
CMYK printing with stochastic screening and colour space processing. These are the two main ingredients of the innovative BIGamut printing technique. With this work cycle and using 4 colours only, we can achieve the same results as hexachrome printing, namely bright colours, sharp images and a startling three-dimensional effect. All this makes BIGamut the ideal technique for art books, photographic catalogues and illuminated manuscript reproductions.
Digital UV spot coating
UV (ultraviolet) coating is a unique finishing. With the installation of a cutting-edge digital coating system, we are now able to perform this process quickly and flexibly.
Opaque, glossy, thickened, spot varnishing or total coating, this process can be used for smaller print runs without having to resort to silkscreen printing.
Digital foil: foil stamping made digital
Thanks to a new, digital lamination system, we are able to ennoble products with metallic foil without the need of the traditional (and expensive) hot foil printing. The new production process, applied at an industrial level, makes this type of finishing no more a prerogative of high print runs.
Drip-off: the alternative to UV serigraphy
The "Drip off" technique is another way of embellishing prints as it creates a highly original contrast between gloss and matt effects using paints that are deposited only in certain specific areas. It is a valid alternative to UV serigraphy even if it has a mistier effect due to the process being carried out in-line in a single print step. Nevertheless it is ideal for enhancing books, magazines, and catalogue or brochure covers.
Quality books, illuminated manuscripts and facsimile
Illuminated manuscripts are unique, handwritten manuscripts, embellished with splendid drawings created by expert Renaissance illustrators in gold, silver and other colours. Today, the original manuscripts are kept at important museums and world heritage libraries and are only available to the public in the form of facsimiles. We are specialised in the reproduction of historical volumes and illuminated manuscripts, having gained important know-how in the sphere of high-quality printing over the years. We therefore combine advanced printing techniques, innovative technology and a craft tradition with the aim of reproducing antique books that are identical to the original in every possible way.

Brochure, leafleat and catalogues
Thanks to our long experience and the investment in novel technologies we developed specialist knowledge and skills. Our brochure, leaflets and catalogues can reach very high quality levels as well as serve small and large print runs. For example with the UV coating, thanks to our cutting edge digital coating systems, we are able to combine in a quick and flexible way opaque, glossy, thickened, spot varnishing or total coating without having to resort to silkscreen printing. The "Drip off" technique is another way to improve prints as it creates a highly original contrast between gloss and matt effects using paints that are deposited only in certain specific areas. It is ideal for enhancing books, magazines, and catalogue or brochure covers. In addition, with our new digital printing systems we are able to print 50:70 cm sheets in small quantities and enrich them with metallic foil without recurring to the traditional (and expensive) hot foil printing.
Illuminated manuscripts and fac-simile
We are specialised in the reproduction of historical volumes and illuminated manuscripts, having gained important know-how in the sphere of high-quality printing over the years.
We therefore combine advanced printing techniques, innovative technology and a craft tradition with the aim of reproducing antique books that are identical to the original in every possible way.
Printing a facsimile does not mean simply creating a high-class print. It means reproducing the brightness and brilliance of the "lapis lazuli blue" in the original. It means creating the correct level of embossing for the gold foil, replicating the various page profiles, ensuring the paper feels like real vellum and printing at a resolution of 2400 dpi to allow the reader to study the work with a magnifying glass and enjoy even the tiniest details that were typical of Renaissance illustrations.
Art books and photography
Pazzini also publishes and prints very important art and photography books thanks to our CMYK printing with stochastic screening and colour space processing. Some examples are the Madonne Di Raffaello for Terra Santa Di Milano, La Divina Commedia Di Federico Da Montefeltro for Franco Cosimo Panini and Biblioteca Vaticana
Packaging
In today’s globalized and ever changing markets the packaging of a product goes beyond its classical protective function playing an important role in its actual selling. Given such relevance, the attention towards the aesthetics and the realization of packaging is constantly increasing regardless of the sector and it involves every actor within the productive chain of a product.
For this reason in the last few years we specialized to offer our customers novel ways of packaging and techniques of printing on cardboard in order to provide a packaging that means emotions not only at a tactile but at visual level too. Backed by our innovative digital technologies we can manage large, small and multiple versions print-run, so that we keep supply fast and flexible. We support our costumers throughout the whole process of packaging creation, from the development of its strategy to the finished product.
