Craftsmanship, taste and a unique style, made in Tuscany, distinguish Amedei chocolate all over the world: a brand that promises quality in every step and promotes a "chocolate culture".

It all starts in a small workshop in Pontedera, Pisa, with an idea, a particular seed, a shape, a passion for chocolate and the continuous search for perfection. Producing the best chocolate in the world was the courageous choice of Cecilia Tessieri, one of the first women to hold the role of maître chocolatier. She founded the company giving it the name of her maternal grandmother, acquiring all the secrets and knowledge about the world of chocolate through a long apprenticeship between France, Belgium, and Germany.
Today Amedei employs about 30 people and produces 150 chocolate creations exported to 30 countries, using only and exclusively the finest cocoa beans from distant places that preserve the origin and creation of this divine product.

Amedei boasts 83 international awards and recognitions. In particular, for 10 years the brand has won the Tavoletta D'Oro award from the Compagnia del Cioccolato, the most important Italian institution in the sector, and has obtained the highest recognition in numerous competitions organized by the Academy of Chocolate in London, winning the Golden Bean award 4 times with his chocolates 9, Blanco de Criollo and Toscano Black 63.

In August 2017, the company was acquired by Ferrarelle SpA, with the aim of enriching its brand portfolio with high-quality food&beverage products, consecrating Amedei as a symbol of Made in Italy excellence in the world of artisanal chocolate.

Our artisanal Maison in Pontedera controls the whole production chain, selecting the finest raw materials and processing them with traditional techniques, to bring to life creations of true excellence made of few top quality ingredients: cocoa beans (like Criollo and Trinitario), cane sugar, milk and fruit, all carefully selected.
