Sergio Mechini and his wife Grazia Dei, decided to start their own business in 1970, after having worked many years for a leading lamp manufacturer.
Luxury
With their good business sense, they were able to expand their affairs and increase staff.
Mechini began designing his own products and moved to a larger location.
“Lampadari d’arte Sergio Mechini” (Sergio Mechini’s Artistic Lamps), began participating in various distinguished trade fairs, such as, “EUROLUCE in Milan”, “Maison et Objet” in Paris, “Abitare Il Tempo” in Verona, “GIFT” in Florence, “Light and Building” in Frankfurt, as well as many others from Fiam in Spain to Crocus in Russia.
In the early 1990s, the Mechini children, Andrea and Sabrina, joined the business and transformed it to “Mechini”, its name today.
With the entrepreneurship of the new generation, the business is able to expand to a larger workspace and become a real leader in the realm of international lighting and luxury design.
The major markets where “Mechini ” is available are, in the Middle East: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, UAE and Saudi Arabia; in Asia: China, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea and Vietnam; and in US: California and Florida.
Since 2021 the Company has been designated among the Certified Italian Companies “Made in Italy 100%” The certification has been approved and co-funded by the Italian Ministry for Economic Development.
Different colors also available on request. Each product is customizable in terms of size, decorations and materials.

collection 319 An utterly intricate ensemble of brambles' branches and wine shoots is meticulously recreated in this sublime golden-finished iron chandelier of unmistakable phytomorphic inspiration. Designed with the Tuscan countryside in mind, it has its ten spherical crystal shades surrounded by foliage, giving the illusion of them being illuminating fruits.

Mechini's MP Collection is the highest expression of two artistically celebrated cultures coming together to create the ultimate masterpiece.Marina Putilovskaya graduated from Strogonovka Russian University of Art, her major being Interior Art. She was the first Russian designer to be appointed as Art Director at Trueggelmann, a prestigious interior design company in Germany.Marina designs living spaces just as an artist paints a picture: each piece of her work is unique, and you can easily recognise her trait.She designs private interiors as well as public spaces, amongst which are a number of renowned restaurants across Europe.
