Nastrotex-Cufra is a textile company based in Covo, in the province of Bergamo (Italy), specialised in the production of elastic tapes for many sectors: from fashion and technical-sportswear, underwear, fashion and technical footwear, cycling, medical and accident prevention to packaging and furnishing.
Established 70 years ago, in 1953, the company is a state-of-the-art 'smart factory', the result of decades of investment in innovation, guaranteeing product quality, production efficiency, optimal working conditions and environmental protection.
All production steps are carried out in-house (warping, weaving, finishing, siliconising, quality control, packaging and dispatch), guaranteeing high quality and adherence to predetermined delivery times. In the 16,000 square metre factory, variety and quality are guaranteed by 189 looms including flat, jaquard and crochet, 9 warping machines, 9 ironing machines, 2 sublimation printers and 3 silicone printers that produce 35 million metres of elastic per year for customers all over the world. 2,500 square metres of the entire area is dedicated to the storage of raw material, which includes rubber, elastane and yarns of various kind and counts in a variety of colours. The storage guarantees timeliness and efficiency in the production of orders.
Nastrotex-Cufra has always paid great attention to enhancing its know-how by investing in technology and innovation of both plants and materials. It was one of the first companies in the sector to invest in elastic recovery, performance and sustainability, with the introduction of recycled polyester and natural and bio-based fibres.
The company guarantees quality and high standards with its certification: ISO 9001 Certified since 2004; STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® Certified since 1996 in Class I; GRS Certified since January 2020; ISO 14001 Certified since 2022; Organisational Model 231 Certified since 2022. At the customer's request, Nastrotex-Cufra can issue the GRS Certificate, an international reference standard that certifies products made from recycled materials, and the Trans Action Certificate, which attests and certifies the entire sustainable supply chain and traces the origin of the recycled yarn contained in the product.
The company also has two annual collections consisting of samples and patterns that anticipate seasonal trends and are proposed to designers, stylists and insiders.
Nastrotex-Cufra is the point of reference for most underwear, sportswear and footwear brands, but also clothing in general.
