The Oltremateria® System is an innovative decorative-architectural coating system that transforms the field of continuous surfaces. Primarily aimed at the design and project world, it enables the creation of a unique, continuous style across floors, walls, ceilings, furniture, objects, and installations, offering an unparalleled sensory continuity and expressive philosophy.
Over the years, the system has evolved to reach technical and performance reliability levels that make it a high-value product and a sector benchmark. The system consists of products and components that, applied layer by layer, create a monolithic, continuous coating with unique characteristics for interior environments.
Key Features:
• Simple, reliable products free from hydraulic binders, cement, and epoxy resins.
• Polymer formulations in aqueous emulsion, including elements from renewable sources such as sunflower-based oils.
• Raw materials exclusively from qualified EU suppliers; mineral charges and aggregates also from certified recycled sources.
• Free of bisphenols and alkylphenol ethoxylates, crosslinkers without added solvents, non-toxic.
• UVA-resistant, elastic, flexible, and with no transport restrictions.
Ecomalta® and Oleomalta® are ready-to-use, water-based single-component pastes. They do not expose the applicator to free crystalline silica, do not require crosslinkers or catalysts, are reusable, non-corrosive, and include aggregates from certified recycled sources.

Performance and Certifications
The Oltremateria® System complies with EU Regulation 305/2011, bearing CE marking, and has undergone Initial Type Testing according to harmonized standards UNI EN 13813, UNI EN 1504-2, and UNI EN 10966. The system is ISO 9001 certified and tested in leading Italian laboratories recognized by the Ministry.
Main Performance Features:
• Thickness 2±0.5 mm, breathable and vapor-permeable, adhesion strength >1.5 N/mm², impact resistance IR10, fire classification Bfl-s1.
• Resistant to wet and dry heat, cold liquids, washable >5000 cycles, stain pick-up ΔL<0.2, capillary water permeability W<0.1 kg/m²·h⁰·⁵.
• Certifications for slip resistance, thermal conductivity, Indoor Air Comfort A+ (low VOC emissions), CAM compliance, AgBB protocol, BREEAM, LEED v4.1, Belgian VOC standards.
• ECOPUR® purifies the air, certified for environmental ionization, indoor air quality, antiviral activity (ISO 21702, ISO 18184), and antibacterial action (ISO 22196).
Sustainability and Circularity
Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) shows an environmental impact 5–8 times lower than standard epoxy resins. Oleomalta®’s circularity has been certified according to EU Circular Economy principles and ISO 14021, focusing on durability, material recovery, and recycling.

OLEOMALTA® by Oltremateria®, applied to walls, enters the world of decorative applications with a precise technical approach: continuos, textured or minimal surfaces that enhance spaces, purify air, and improve indoor living comfort.
It's not just a simple finish. It's a coating that focuses on visual and tactile depth, with calibrated textures, cloudy or more compact effects. The result is a wall that changes with the light, yet remains consistent over time, without being excessive.
From an application standpoint, the system offers great flexibility:

Metallo Fluido is one of the decorations (special, very thin paints) for floors and walls developed by Oltremateria®, designed to introduce real metal surfaces into surfaces, architecture, and furnishings.
This is not an imitation effect.

OLEOMALTA - A Mare Collection
A MARE is the result of advanced research into recycled materials and sustainable technologies.
It is part of the Oltremateria® Riciclo series, in which the aggregates come from certified recovery chains: cocciopesto, mother-of-pearl, Carrara marble, seashells, coffee, and other select elements become an integral part of the material, transforming recycling into architecture and decoration.
It is the first continuous surface made with water-based polymers derived from renewable sources, such as sunflower oil, and composed of over 60% recycled seashells. This approach guarantees a formaldehyde- and solvent-free material that does not release harmful substances into the environment.
