Luciana Mosconi

A TRUE WOMAN, a TRUE STORY

In Le Marche, preparing tagliatelle is a ritual. As a child, Luciana Mosconi learned to pull the dough from her mother. As she grew, so did her mastery, and she created delicious, varied, tasty recipes. Towards the end of the 1980s, Luciana opened a homemade pasta shop in Matelica, in the heart of Le Marche. That is where the true story of Luciana Mosconi, Lady Tagliatelle, began.

TODAY

In just over twenty years, our perseverance has influenced everyone – consumers and traders alike – and we have become the benchmark for Italian egg pasta. But there’s more. Every day, we strive to live up to our leadership. The results for 2019 speak for themselves: in an unsteady market, the company recorded a 2.5% growth and a 18% value share in the entire Dried Egg Pasta market, thereby consolidating its position as the Italian Number player. The first in the premium sector as well as the Number One player in Emilia Romagna, Le Marche, Umbria and Tuscany – where egg pasta is a staple of tradition and culture – and the second largest brand in Italy.

The Luciana Mosconi Method

After double kneading, pasta sheets are rolled out without mechanical pressing and thermal stress, and experience the slow drying process at low temperatures. The secret of Luciana Mosconi’s quality lies in this distinctive and exclusive production process. Today, like every day, this rigour remains unchanged.
For us, there is only one doctrine: perfecting perfection, safeguarding tradition and ensuring the highest quality and authenticity of ingredients at all costs: using only 100% Italian semolina, fresh Italian eggs and top quality ingredients.

Our “classic dough” is simply extraordinary: it has an authentic, genuine flavour. It looks “handmade”. The secret lies in the “Luciana Mosconi Method”: the best semolina, the freshest eggs, a rough, tenacious sheet of dough and a very slow drying process that lasts for more than 24 hours.

Small masterpieces for many happy moments. Each speciality has its own unique and unmistakable taste. The secret of such goodness is enshrined in the exclusive Luciana Mosconi Method: high-quality raw materials, a careful processing of the dough and a slow and “natural” drying process

A rough, authentic, fulfilling taste. The spelt and fresh egg specialties are produced with 100% Italian wholemeal spelt flour, high in proteins, vitamins, fibre and mineral salts.
Wholegrain egg pasta is simply made from fresh eggs and 100% Italian wholemeal durum wheat flour, obtained from whole grains with the bran and germ.

Only 100% Italian organic durum wheat and fresh organic eggs. You can’t resist the taste of this rough, tenacious and marchigianadough.

The old flavours of the original Luciana Mosconi’s shop come back to life in the specialties of our new line, “La Pasta Fresca”.
Our dough is rough, tenacious, and marchigiana. In short: excellent! It is made only with outstanding certified products: 100% Italian grade A fresh eggs and 100% Italian durum wheat flour from first extraction. Every day the dough is skilfully rolled out with simple and exclusive equipment that is very similar to the old “rolling pin” used by our grandmothers.
The fillings are prepared in our kitchens by the expert hands of our chefs and only with high-quality ingredients. In our fillings there is no addition of artificial flavourings, breadcrumbs, glutamate and preservatives.
