Tera srl is an IoT company that implements innovative IoT solutions for B2B customers, R & D & I projects (smart Building, Grid, Metering, Asset, UVAM). The company was established in 2007 as an innovative SME and combines the experience of a group of IT and electronics engineers, with a focus on the development of energy efficiency solutions.
For over 10 years we have been designing and producing interoperable Edge computers totally made in Italy. We adopt an open approach that allows us to develop scalable and modular solutions through interoperable HW / SW components, developed for different sectors such as Energy, Smart Building & Smart Home, Smart Industry, Smart City.
We collaborate with local and international innovation networks such as the Polytechnic Observatory of Milan, Confindustria Bari, the Mechanics Production District of Puglia, La Nuova Energia DES Puglia (district of sustainable energy), Energy Efficiency Financial Institution Group (which officially supports the European Commission for energy efficiency) and we worked with telecommunications sector partners such as TIM, CNR research institutes, Enel energy, E-Distribution, Bosh.

Beeta Kit is an energy saving IoT solution that turn the domestic environments into a real smart home. It's a modular and scalable solution designed with an open approach: it can communicate with third-party software and hardware, ensuring full flexibility and interoperability. Beeta Box collects the data sent by the on-board sensors, from those installed in the environment and from those connected with the home's energy systems and sends them to a cloud platform, where they are made available to users both via PC and App. Users obtain the detailed profiling and classification of energy consumption, the profiling and classification of photovoltaic production, the monitoring of internal parameters, relating to safety, health, comfort, CO2, home automation and control, intrusion alarms, energy overload, emergencies, tips and tricks to consume less and better.

GIoE - Multiprotocol Edge computer for IoT, DIN rail mounting
Designed for several applications envinroment, GIoE is a multiprotocol edge computer that allows full configurability, modularity and scalability. GIoE can be used in combination with third-party software, running both local or cloud, for the implementation of an integrated management and control system: compliant with «frameworks» (as for OSGI OpnenHab) and tools (MQTT, REST / API, NODE-RED, HomeAssistant, OPC-UA, etc.), as well as with FIN FRAMEWORK by J2Innovation (a Siemens company), a powerful and flexible software environment for designers, System Integrators and OEMs.
GIoE can be used as edge computer but also as smart gateway/hub, equipped with up to 12 communication protocols (customizable outfittings, from basic version to full version). It can run algorithms of all types thanks to its computational capacity. It is able to receive and store data provided by 1G and 2G electricity meters via Power Line.

Beeta™ Box - edge computer for indoor with sensors on board
Designed for indoor applications, the Beeta™ Box is equipped with 4 on-board sensors (temperature, humidity and air pressure, microphone) and a multi-sensorial interface that informs users about anomalies (programmable multicolor led and loudspeakers).The use of standardized communication protocols and interfaces makes this electronic control unit an unprecedented multiprotocol edge computer that allows full configurability, modularity and scalability. The built-in software is OTA upgradable and interoperable with third-party software and hardware devices, being the complete solution for monitoring environmental conditions, appliances, specific loads or to control actuators.
The powerful processing unit allows to execute the algorithms locally on device for controlling and monitoring any machine or appliance. Through simple programmable visual signals, it warns in case of anomalies of the system and at the same time on its web portal and mobile app, where users can always watch trends and updated insights .
Beeta™ Box is able to receive and store the data provided by 1G and 2G electricity billing meters via Power Line.

Beeta™ MoCo - modulation controller managing bi-directional energy flows
Beeta™ MoCo is the smart device to monitor and manage the bi-directional energy flows of battery storage inverters and other electrical equipments and loads, also in retrofit.
Beeta™ MoCo, actually being a small-scale edge computer, can be used in combination with third-party software platforms, both local and cloud based, for the implementation of integrated electric energy flows management systems in smart grids and energy communities. In Balancing Service Provider’s Market (MSD in Italy) it can act as UPM and take autonomous control of battery/load (“dispatching commands” physical execution), being also able to interrupt loads-equipments by means of external relays. It communicates with the “concentrator” (central management) software via Modem-Router.
The device also helps to prevent potential scams and network anomalies, contributing to preserve network balancing, while saving costs and increasing efficiency in energy exchange operations.

Beeta™ Power - Smart Metering
BeetaTM Power is the latest generation plug & play device, able to read smart meters for electric energy through powerline communication (PLC), both in A band and C band, according to CEN/CLC/ETSI/TR 50572, EN 62056-7-5. In Italy BeetaTM Power is the BeetaTM Box power supply already compliant with the 1G and 2G fiscal smart meters from e-distribuzione, by only inserting the plug into an electric socket.
In case of photovoltaic plant, BeetaTM Power simultaneously reads smart meters, both for consumption and for energy production. It also delivers up to 2,5A @ 5Vdc, while exchanging data (meter readings and settings) with devices-computers via USB. This opens up a new scenario in the energy sector, since it makes users aware of their own consumption and performance, allowing them to obtain savings from 10% up to 30% and to consider the possibility of actively participating in the energy market.
