The Visintini Andrea Company is located on the hills of Corno di Rosazzo south of the DOP Friuli Colli Orientali area bordering the DOC Collio and which delimits the provinces of Udine and Gorizia.
The company was bought back in 1884 by his great-grandfather Domenico.
After various family vicissitudes and the tragic disappearance of his uncle, who was responsible for the Company; in 1973, after a meeting of the 8 remaining brothers, Andrea was chosen for the continuation (they were years in which everyone left the earth for a job in the industry).
The company continued until 1988 with mixed agriculture, based mainly on animal husbandry, the first real development choice, but subsequently blocked by bureaucratic hitches for the expansion of the stables (the clearance came in 1998 13 years after the request) .
At this point, Andrea, flanked by his son Oliviero, decided to focus on wine.
It started with 3 hectares of property, producing bulk wine for inns and private customers. Then as the knowledge of the matter increased, he turned to a quality wine, because this seemed the best choice. So, in 1991, the first 3.000 bottles were made, almost all purchased from customers and friends who had pushed us in this direction.
In the years that followed, the company began to buy land and focus on bottled wine.
Now the company has an area of about 22 hectares of vineyards and 13 hectares of land for rent, divided for the most part in the DOP Friuli Colli Orientali area and a small part in the DOC Isonzo areas.
The annual production of bottles is around 140,000.
The vineyards are located mostly in the south-west and south-east with excellent sun exposure.
The soils are composed of Eocene marls (the so-called ponca), Gravels and Clays.
The microclimate is excellent thanks to the influence from the sea (distance about 35 km) and from the mountain (distance about 40 km).
The company works all its vineyards with the Biodynamic method.
In 2014 we obtained the BIO certification.
