ALBERTI 1986 srl

Alberti 1986 srl was founded 34 anni years ago in Imperia, a small town overlooking the Ligurian coast and framed between the sea and the Maritime Alps.

Alberti has always been a project of quality, passion and tradition in the awareness that this wonderful strip of land is able to offer a remarkable gastronomic heritage based on the Taggiasca Olive from which derives the sublime DOP Riviera Ligure extra virgin olive oil and DOP Genoese basil , essential ingredient to produce the most famous sauce in the world: Pesto.

A careful selection of raw materials and careful processing of the same are the reasons why the company has established itself over time, towards its customers, as a reference point for the supply of high quality products.

This is why Alberti is now present in the most beautiful Italian restaurants to represent the typicality of the Ligurian product and beyond. To date, the brand is appreciated by great chefs and numerous customers in Italy with its HO.RE.CA. line. In 2020 the company intends to launch its new "Alberti 1986" line, affirming itself more forcefully in specialized detail with a unique and targeted packaging for the channel.

With the "Alberti" brand, the company has also achieved widespread distribution on the Italian market by supplying the largest and most esteemed operators in the WDC (Wide Distribution Channel) sector. Among the most loyal and consolidated we find: Carrefour, Autogrill, Conad, Coop, Despar, Magazzini Gabrielli, Gulliver, A&O, Docks cash&carry, Sidal, CeDi Gross, Cadoro, Basko, Dimar, Pam, ecc.

For the credibility acquired over time, and for what the company represents for Ligurian products, we have been entrusted with the supply of DOP extra virgin olive oil "Riviera dei Fiori" for the "Terre d'Italia" brand belonging to the Carrefour group, the supply of Cultivar Taggiasca olives for the "Consilia" brand belonging to the Sun Group and the supply of Genovese DOP basil pesto under the "Cadoro" brand.

Even outside the borders, our brand is a supplier of importers and distributors of Italian food specialties. We are currently present in Germany, the Baltic States, Denmark, France, USA.

To maintain a deep respect towards our customers and the values of constitution (tradition, territory and excellence), it was necessary to implement a business model based on respect for nature and traditions, or alongside the family run farms and constant listening to entire families and generations in love with their land.

Alberti's secret lies right here, "talk about the future holding tradition by the hand”.

Cultivar Taggiasca Extra Virgin Olive Oil although not enjoying of D.O.P. certification, it is worked by Olives collected exclusively from Riviera Ligure of Ponente. It is defined a “mosto” extra virgin olive oil because it is decanted naturally, unfiltered and transplanted a lot of times to avoid the excessive formation of sediment.

Our Pesto respects the traditional ligurian recipe. The most important ingredients are: DOP Genoa basil (only leaves, not stems), extra virgin olive oil, pine nuts, Parmesan and pecorino cheese, garlic. Thanks to a special processing, it is a long-life product but not pasteurized to maintain for a long time the typical brilliant green of the fresh pesto sauce home-made.

Carefully selected high quality “Cultivar Taggiasca” olives coming exclusively from the hinterland of western Liguria, put in extra virgin olive oil Alberti. After the harvest, the olives are conserved a year in brine composed by water, salt, aromatic herbs and natural flavors. The olives are then pitted with a particular process and conserved in Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
