Our journey began over 30 years ago when Gianfranco Fornari gave life to Barleycorn, a casual footwear brand, from his native Civitanova Marche in the heart of the Marchigiana "shoes valley", land of craftsmen and manufacturing techniques without equal in Italy and in the world. . Tradition as a synonym of family, of domestic walls that become home and company, where time passes between the growth of children, everyday life and the creativity of new models, new techniques and new materials. The company is the home and the house is itself a company, stories and lives intersect creating tradition and memory. What we now call “ Costal Life”, The identity of the brand, its values ​​linked to everyday life and everyday life in front of the sea, comes from there, from the family that has been handed down values ​​and identities from generation to generation. Today Giuseppe Fornari, Gianfranco's son and his wife Chiara Parigi, CEO of the brand, continue the family tradition by living this challenge with great enthusiasm. Thanks to their many years of experience in the world of fashion they give elements of contemporaneity to the historical values ​​of the brand. Even today we find in the Collection models born in 1991, both in the historical versions and revisited with more contemporary materials and details, capable of making them timeless icons; a Classic as we like to call them… with constant and meticulous attention to detail and the future.

Costal Life represents our whole world in two words that contain the values ​​of the coast and the sea, the shades of light and traditions, travel and the stories of the land in which we live.
