H.R. BIOANALYSIS srl

The HR BIOANALYSIS Laboratory was founded in 1988 by the Biologist dr. Pasquale Laezza, after over ten years of research experience at the Food Science Department of the University of Naples.

The intense research activity carried out in the University, documented by numerous publications in international journals, combined with in-depth experience in the field, allowed Dr. Laezza to access the Register of Experts at the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Tourism and the Ministry of Education, University and Research and to found an operational structure capable of providing the necessary assistance for the international trading of food products.

HRBIOANALYSIS is the ideal partner for companies in the food sector to check the compliance of food products destined for the internal market and international trade.

The HRBIOANALYSIS working group operates with professionalism and competence thanks to the constant scientific and regulatory updating and the continuous improvement of the analytical services offered.

HYALURONIC ACID HR ASSAY
offers a rapid and novel measurement method of Hyaluronic acid in drugs, medical devices, cosmetics and biological fluids. The assay is not suitable for blood and urine analysis.

The literature survey shows that in weak acidic medium, Hyaluronic acid react with bisphenylnaphthylmethane dyes to form an ion-associate complex which causes changes of absorption spectra, such as decreased of absorbance at 585-616 nm or increased at 276-411 nm.

HYALURONIC ACID HR ASSAY
allows to detect the complex hyaluronate-bisphenylnaphthylmethane monitoring changes of absorbtion spectra at 680 nm.
The intensity of absorbtion at 680 nm is proportional to the concentration of Hyaluronic acid in the range between 0,001 and 0,01 %, according to the Lambert-Beer law.
The method performance is satisfactory:
Linearity (R2) = 0,999
Accuracy = +/- 10 %
Precision (RDS) < 5 %
Resolution = 0,001

Detection methods typically employed for HPLC, RIA, ELISA, Polarigraphy and Spectrophotometric methods, are expensive to run and require technical expertise.
In comparison to these techniques HYALURONIC ACID HR ASSAY is a simple to run, rapid and inexpensive analytical method.
