From the slopes of a historical hill, once a defensive fortress, now site of the ancient swabian castle of Cosenza, it draws inspiration the entrepreneurial adventure of Rocca Brettia, a family-run winery. Our vineyards kissed by the sun extend over a large hill, at 500, a.s.l. in Donnici Inferiore, close to Cosenza. They are surrounded by the colours of the Mediterranean greenery and protected by secular olive trees, sheltered from the fresh wind of the Sila. Here passion and competence are intertwined with a strong innovative vocation combined with the local tradition, giving life to a wine whose sips tell the deep connection with the territory and the unspoiled charm of nature. We have four hectares cultivated with vines; the type of vines cultivated are: Magliocco , Merlot, Aglianico, Greco Nero, Barbera, Pinot Blanc, Greco Bianco, Montonico Bianco, Chardonnay, Incrocio Manzoni. The entire winemaking process is carried out in our winery, exclusively with grapes from our vineyards.

A vine of great elegance, exalted by 20-year old vineyards from high-hill, and over 24-month ageing process in oak and stainless steel drums. YEAR: 2015 VINIFICATION: Red wine-making at controlled temperature with maceration on pomace for 12 days. AGEING: 24 months in steel and oak. Then 6 months in bottle. ALCOHOL CONTENT: 15% SERVING TEMPERATURE: 18/20°. PAIRING: Braised meat, game, seasoned cheeses.



The Pinot meets Greco Bianco to create a white wine with delicate and complex aromas and a long length. The wine is a perfect union between Southern and Northern European vineyards. YEAR: 2017 VINIFICATION: White wine-making at controlled temperature. AGEING: 8 months in steel. Then 2 months in bottle. ALCOHOL CONTENT: 13,5% SERVING TEMPERATURE: 9/11°. PAIRING: Fish, crustacean, white meat.
