Our farm Azienda Agricola Mantenera was founded in 2014, driven by the desire to give a human dimension to our life. We therefore settled in our native region, to give an old olive grove a second chance. We firmly believe that nature should not be forced by chemical or mechanical means. That's why all our products are grown and harvested by hand. Mantenera extra virgin olive oil is not just an organic olive oil. It is the result of a work of conservation, tradition and innovation. The love and passion that guide us has given life to a high quality product, internationally acclaimed. Awarded a silver medal at BIOL 2019, Mantenera extra virgin olive oil manages to combine taste and sustainability.
Since the virtues of the olive tree do not stop with those of its fruit, we have decided to also use the leaves of this majestic tree. Tis'Olivo is a range of herbal teas made from olive leaves, hand-picked in spring when the concentration of polyphenols is highest. These are then dried at a very low temperature to preserve all the nutrients. Tis'Olivo are very pleasant herbal infusions with a delicate flavor.

Mantenera organic extra virgin olive oil is a blend of three Majatica Coratina and Leccino Cultivars
Awarded internationally at the Biol Prize and Biol Novello Competition with the Silver Medals in 2019 and the Extragold Medal 2020, our product confirms the highest quality year after year
The Blend produced and selected by us is an oil with well-defined organoleptic properties and characteristics such as: herb leaf, almond and artichoke. With a complete, pleasant and balanced fruity taste.
Harvesting on the plant is the first of the fixed points of our production process
The harvested olives are transported, in ventilated crates, to the oil mill a few kilometers away from the harvesting grounds, thus allowing milling within 24 hours. The milling takes place by mechanical pressing with cold extraction. The extraction of the oil requires various stages of the process: Washing Crushing Kneading Centrifugal Extraction. Storage in air-conditioned and temperature-controlled environments allows the product to be decanted before bottling.

Oli  travergin d oliv Mantener Secolar, blen Majatic - Ogliarol de
Bradan
Il territorio e la varietà Gli oliveti – quasi 2 ettari con circa 160 piante secolari di
varietà Majatica e Ogliarola del Bradano – si trovano a circa 430 metri di altitudine. La
zona è pianeggiante e collinare, il terreno di medio impasto, il clima è mite.
La coltivazione Mantenera ha scelto dal 2015 di non eff ettuare lavorazioni meccaniche
del suolo favorendo l’inerbimento e la crescita spontanea di essenze autoctone
per evitare dilavamento ed erosione. La gestione del suolo attraverso la
trinciatura dell’erba e dei residui di potatura nelle inter fi le dell’uliveto favoriscono la
generazione di compost organico per la concimazione naturale del terreno.
La raccolta A ottobre, quando le drupe raggiungono circa il 20% dell’invaiatura (ossia
l’inizio della maturazione contraddistinto dal mutamento del colore), si esegue la raccolta
a mano con l’ausilio di agevolatori. Subito dopo si ripongono le olive in cassette in plastica
forata al riparo dal calore e si trasportano in frantoio.
La lavorazione Avviene entro 6 ore dalla raccolta nel frantoio dell’impresa agricola
Luciano Pepe, di Albano di Lucania, posto a circa 30km dagli oliveti. Le olive lavate
vengono frante meccanicamente in impianto continuo a ciclo chiuso a due fasi per
garantire tutti gli equilibri chimici e sensoriali.
La conservazione e il confezionamento L’olio extravergine di oliva Mantenera Secolare
dopo la decantazione viene fi ltrato tramite fi ltri a cartone e si conserva in silos
di acciaio inox, fi no al confezionamento in bottiglie di vetro scuro, latta e bag in box.
