Insula - Natural Body Care is a herbal cosmetics laboratory located in Urzulei, a small town in the hinterland of the wonderful Ogliastra region in Sardinia (Italy).
We design and produce high-quality soaps, oils, scrubs, hair and facecare products with 100% natural ingredients and the greatest attention to environmental impact. At Insula, traditional herbal knowledge meets a brand identity based on truly shared values: the result is products people fall in love with.
All of our products are 100% biodegradable and completely traceable. The ingredients we use (lentisk, helichrysum, arbutus unedo, donkey and goat milk, mallow, prickly pear, for instance) derive from organic farming or from spontaneous flora collection.
Insula was born in 2016 as an idea by a group of herbalists and friends who wanted to create a new cosmetics brand with an international vocation taking the evocative atmosphere of Supramonte as inspiration, offering first-class products and careful attention to sustainability. The feeling of closeness with Sardinia’s atmosphere does the rest.

DULCHE - Mousse Face Scrub
Gentle face scrub with sugar, chamomile and sweet almond oil. The cleansing mousse frees the skin from impurities, while the sugar granules delicately exfoliate it. Sweet almond oil and chamomile provide an emollient and lenitive effect. Available in the 100 ml format.
LEBIU - Solid Shampoo + Conditioner Bar
The Lebiu set, solid shampoo + conditioner bar, is formulated to ensure the maximum respect to hair and scalp, with the comfort and sustainability of the solid format. The practical bar format is sustainable twice, because it reduces both packaging and weight. Like all the Insula products, they are 100% biodegradable and made with 100% natural ingredients. Lebiu - Solid shampoo is enriched with wheat proteins, linseed and castor-oil plant oil and lemon oleolite. It delicately rinses the hair and the scalp leaving them bright and strenghthened, whitout drying. Lebiu - Conditioner bar contains rice flour, chamomile extract and linseed oil and leaves the hair soft and full-bodied and voluminous. ARCU 'E CHELU - Assorted Bar Soaps Set 125 gr
Arcu e chelu means raimbow in sardinian language: this product is a set of 5 bar soaps including all scents and colours of Insula tradition. It includes: AINA Since ancient times, donkey milk has always been considered a beauty secret: it cleanses and moisturizes, rendering the skin soft and elastic as you may never have experienced. ELICRISO The helychrisum used for this bar soap has important antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. The small yellow flower guarantees unmistakable warm and woody scent. LATTE 'E CRABA Goat’s fresh milk, added to almond oil, is the basis of this unique bar soap formulation. Highly moisturizing and nourishing, it is the perfect choice for dry and sensitive skin. LIDONE Lidone scrub soap is a blend of strawberry tree fruit, grape seed oil and the essential oils of geranium, which cleanse and rejuvenate the skin. KESSA Balsamic bar soap with essential oil of lentisk.
OUTDOOR LINE - Campo Bar Soap
Vegetable bar soap with rice flour + mint and lemon essential oils. 100% biodegradable, it can be used for face, body, hair, laundry and diswashing. The stone-paper packaging is waterproof and reusable. LIMPIU - Liquid Soap
Enjoy the anti-inflammatory properties of the helicrysum in a liquid soap that you won’t be able to do without. It can be used for hands, face and body, leaving the skin moisturized and soft. Its warm and delicate fragrance makes it ideal for all the family. INGREDIENTS: aqua, potassium oleate, potassium cocoate, glycerin, helichrysum italicum extract*, citrus sinensis peel oil expressed, helichrysum italicum flower extract, cananga odorata flower oil, artemisia vulgaris oil, citral, geraniol, phenethyl alcohol, caprylyl glicol, limonene, linalool. * from spontaneous flora.
