Calabrialleva is the brand of dairy products of the cooperative of Calabrian breeders. Founded in 1984 it has fought for the PDO recognition of pecorino Crotonese. Calabrialleva produces and markets one of the best cheeses of the south, produced with only sheep’s milk. The cooperative is located in the ancient area of Magna Grecia. We are in the province of Crotone. The cooperative has its own dairy with attached stable, and an office with administrative, managerial and communication and marketing figures. Its cheeses are marketed nationally and also overseas, mainly in Canada.

pecorino Crotonese hard PDO cheese is obtained after a long maturation for over six months. Hard and brown crust can be capped with oil or olive sludge. The taste is intense, distinct with a light spicy after taste.



Semi-hard Pecorino Crotonese  has a thick crust of a pale brown color. The taste is intense, harmonious, the semi hard cheese paste is compact with rare holes.



Fresh Pecorino Crotonese  has a thin crust of white or slightly straw color. The taste is distinct, soft, pleasantly sour. The paste is tender, uniform, the color is creamy milky white, with rare holes.
