BSA is well specialized in extracting and working high quality black slate, and selling it bth in italian and on International market.
Our mining spot is in Valfontanabuona, near Genoa, a very well known area as a unique site for its high quality stone, since many centuries a reference point for this kind of product.
This black slate that we call “ardesia” has some unique characteristics : a full, homogenous black color, without any grain, a very high hardness index, a particolar value of breathability, a great temperature resistance and durabilità, and it is ecological, that is something becoming more and more important.
All these details makes this slate a perfect poduct for the construction sector. It can be used outside for roofs, fronts, wall covers, pavings, but also for interior architecture. In a lot of different sizes.
Atfer the extraction, the black slate is directly worked in place. And we follow all the process from the extraction to the delivery.
We also sell other products, as other kind of slate, in different colorsm but all worked with our Made in Italy print (Purple, Green, Mare, Cardosia, Ocean Black etc).
In some time, we will also be able to deliver a very new item : an italian black slate sheet in 1,5 mm depth.
