L.P.P Agricultural Business was founded in 2018 and it entails the realisation of a project of three young entrepeneurs. The love for the homeland, the passion for agriculture, the desire to return to a more sustainable relationship with nature and the wish to get back to simple and handmade things have met saffron: an ancient spice that was already cultivated in Salento in the 15th Century, as shown by important historical documents.
The business is located in San Cassiano, a small village that rises in the south of Salento. A flat land dominated by extensive and majestic olives groves and in which numerous animal and plant species live.
The strands of the Crocus sativus flower are an unrivalled spice. Its organoleptic properties derive from crocin and safranal, which invite you to use saffron in classic and modern recipes, going along with both sweet and salty courses. Saffron also presents interesting therapeutic properties due to its antioxidant power.
Our saffron, which is of the highest quality, has into account the natural balance of the surrounding ecosystem, as the cultivation of its crops respect biodiversity and follow the traditional agricultural techniques without using any synthetic chemical agents.
