La Romana dal 1947

La Romana gelato shop was born in the heart of the historic centre of Rimini, Italy, in 1947, receiving the name of the founder’s daughter. A few years later Vito Zucchi, progenitor of the family, took over the enterprise. Thanks to his fervent creativity and the use of a few ingredients then available, he created a wide range of high-quality flavours which are still made in our stores today.

In 2010 the growth of La Romana franchising chain began and also the openings in the foreign market, which led to the actual total of more than 50 stores.

Our gelato is made fresh every day in the workshop of each La Romana store, using fresh ingredients such as eggs, sugar, fresh cream and organic milk.
To raise customer awareness on the consumption of natural products, we offer flavours made with carefully selected products such as trefoil hazelnut (product obtained exclusively from "Piedmont Hazelnut") and Marsala.
To ensure the freshness, quality and creaminess of our gelato, we produce small quantities at different times of the day to make sure that its average duration does not exceed three hours.
