The story of Il Panaro Food began in 1982 with a small workshop producing fresh pasta, puff pastries, and gastronomy products. Over time, the company has evolved while preserving its craftsmanship and selecting high-quality Italian raw materials, preferably local.
Since 2011, we have been producing the “authentic crescia sfogliata of Urbino” under the Il Panaro brand, which is now one of our most appreciated products. The crescia sfogliata is Urbino’s traditional product and is listed in the PAT (Register of Traditional Italian Food Products).
Since 2024, we have also been producing the Piadina Snack, a patented snack.
Our production combines traditional techniques with strict quality controls, which have enabled us to achieve IFS Food certification.
Il Panaro Food operates both in the Ho.Re.Ca. sector and in large-scale retail, with dedicated product lines and also private label production.
With over 40 years of experience, we have become true specialists in puff pastry products!

CRESCIA SFOGLIATA DI URBINO
At Panaro, we proudly produce Crescia Sfogliata di Urbino, a centuries-old specialty from the Marche region. Unlike a simple piadina, Crescia sgoliata is rich, crumbly, and full of character, made from thin layers of dough enriched with eggs, flour, lard, and a pinch of pepper.
Our Crescia is carefully prepared according to the traditional recipe, rolled and folded by hand to create its unique texture. Once grilled, it becomes golden brown, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, ready to be enjoyed hot.
Available in the classic or smaller toaster-heated version.
It can be paired with cured meats, cheeses, or fresh vegetables, but is also delicious on its own, a true expression of Urbino's culinary heritage.

PIADINA SFOGLIATA A MANO
The puff pastry piadina is made using the same artisanal process as the Crescia sfogliata. Each piadina is rolled out by hand.
It's perfect as a substitute for bread or filled with cured meats, cheeses, and vegetables. It also pairs well with sweet spreads or jams. Cook it in a nonstick pan for a couple of minutes, and when it's golden and crispy, it's ready to serve.

PIADINA ALL'OLIO EXTRAVERGINE DI OLIVA
A classic piadina similar to the thick Romagna flatbread. Also suitable for vegetarians because it's made with 100% Italian extra virgin olive oil.
