Gees Recycling is an innovative and operational reality in the circular economy of thermosetting plastic matrix waste. Established in Pordenone in 2010, Gees has patented a recycling technology in collaboration with the Area Science Park of Trieste. It has refined a process in which the waste (CFR, rigid expanded polyurethane, expanded PVC, expanded PET) is transformed with a mechanical process and minimal percentages of virgin raw materials into the Recomplax panel, which in turn is 100% recyclable.
In 2014, first in Europe, Gees obtained the CSI certification
«RECYCLED COMPOSITE».
With the shareholders Vetroresina SpA and Gruppo Spinelli, in 2018 Gees Recycling created the first pilot line in Aviano (PN) authorized by the VFG Region for the recovery of 3,000 tons / year. The production capacity is 1,000 tons / year on a working shift. As the first in Europe, Gees realizes a true up cycling of the composite by marketing the Recomplax panel in the prefabricated, furniture and construction sectors.
Recomplax replaces water-repellent woods and synthetic stone in buildings and furnishings. The panel has a uniform mass, workable with carpentry techniques: cutting, milling, screwing, lamination, painting, gluing. It differs from synthetic agglomerates and water-repellent woods for its formulation flexibility (density from 400 to 1200 kg / mC) and for mechanical characteristics, coloring and aesthetics, water-repellent properties, absence of Formaldehyde, resistance to bacterial proliferation in a humid environment, stability dimensional. The formulation of the panels (mix MPS and binders) is optimized and diversified according to the characteristics of the recovered material and the performance to be obtained with the new recycled panel. This approach allows to realize an effective down-cycling but above all an innovative up-cycling of the thermosets.

Recomplax® Basic 400 kg/m3
The Recomplax® 400 panel is made of rigid foam materials (PET, Polyurethane, Polystyrene) re-aggregated at low pressure with minimal percentages of virgin adhesives. The process is patented and generates an innovative double-green material, therefore recyclable again at the end of its life.
The density of the panel allows three-dimensional processing without the risk of fraying. The expanded and insulating materials present in the mixture give the mass a thermal transmittance even lower than wood. The panel material has high sound absorbing power.
Recomplax® 400 panel is a sustainable material certified by CSI.
Maximum flexibility in the processing of the Recomplax® 400 panel with common joinery equipment: drilling, milling, water cutting, cutting with a circular saw or jigsaw, gluing, screwing, laminating.
The panels are sandable. Being totally water-repellent, resistant to fungi and bacteria, and stable even in extreme climatic conditions (minimum thermal expansion), the Recomplax® 400 panels are ideal for applications in humid indoor and outdoor environments, even in salt spray and harsh climates. Thanks to its compressive strength and sound absorbing power, the Recomplax® 400 panel is suitable for the construction of floor and wall systems for prefabricated houses and vans.
Panel 1000 x 2330 mm, thickness from 15 to 30 mm. Made of rigid expanded thermosetting fragments, recycled and re-aggregated at low pressure (density 400 kg / m3), it is indicated as a non-load-bearing element in the construction of furniture and prefabricated buildings for interiors and exteriors. Compactness and surface micro porosity suitable for laminating or for making sandwich panels, insulating, sound-absorbing and stable over time.
Recomplax® Basic 700 kg/m3
The Recomplax® 700 panel is made of rigid foam materials (PET, Polyurethane, Polystyrene) added with recycled fiber-reinforced composites and re-aggregated at medium pressure with minimal percentages of virgin adhesives. The process is patented and generates a double-green material, which can be recycled again at the end of its life. The density of the panel (650-700 kg / m3) and the presence of mineral fibers add strength to the entire section allowing a three-dimensional processing without the risk of fraying. The foam and insulating materials present in the mixture give the mass a low
thermal transmittance. The material has high sound absorbing power. The panel

The panels can be sanded, painted and lacquered. Being water-repellent, resistant to fungi and bacteria, and stable even in extreme climatic conditions (minimum thermal expansion), the panels are ideal for replacing multilayers in humid environments even in saline fog and harsh climates. Thanks to its compressive strength and sound-absorbing power, the Recomplax® 700 panel is suitable for the construction of floor-systems for prefabricated houses and vans.
Panel 1000 x 2330 mm, thickness from 12 to 25 mm. Made of fragments of fiber-reinforced and expanded composites, recycled and re-aggregated under pressure (density 650-700 kg / m3) for use as a non-load-bearing element, indoors and outdoors.
Surface micro porosity suitable for lamination. High screw resistance.
Recomplax® D’Eco Indoor 1200 kg/m3
The Recomplax® d’ecò panel is made on the 1100 formulation, but with the addition of natural pigments (oxides) mixed in mass.
The process is patented and generates a double-green material
aesthetically innovative, and again recyclable at the end of its life.
The high density of the panel (> 1100 kg / m3) and the distributed pigmentation
uniformly throughout the entire section of the panel, they allow processing
three-dimensional without the risk of fraying or changing the aesthetic effect.
The Recomplax® d’ecò panel is a sustainable material certified by the CSI.
Maximum flexibility in the processing of the Recomplax® d’ecò black monster panel with diamond or vidiam equipment: drilling, milling, water cutting, cutting with recular saw or jigsaw, gluing, screwing, laminating.
The panels are sandable and paintable. Being totally waterproof, resistant to fungi and bacteria, they are stable in a humid environment.
Recomplax® d’ecò panels are ideal for the interior furniture sector, the bathroom, the kitchen, and for flooring. The protective treatment is not included in the delivery.

The Recomplax® d’ecò Outdoor dark series panel is made with thermosetting and composites with high resistance to UV rays.
The process is patented and generates a double-green material

uniformly throughout the entire section of the panel, they allow processing
three-dimensional without the risk of fraying or changing the aesthetic effect.
