Plastic Free Certification is an innovative start-up, the first certification body in the world that certifies compliance with a management and operational standard aimed at minimizing the use of disposable inorganic plastics. The purpose of this certification is to help companies reconsider the use and impact of plastic materials and find viable alternative solutions. The certification process is based on an innovative standard that defines the certification procedures.
PFC is aimed at public and private entities, organizations and companies in the primary, secondary and tertiary sector, in need of certification for marketing needs, for management needs and/or for ethical reasons.
The general objectives of PFC are:
- the promotion of a progressive transition to the use of products with a lower CO2 impact on the environment;
- the promotion of solutions aimed at spreading the culture of responsible consumption;
- facilitating access to operational processes for the reduction / abolition of disposable inorganic plastics;
- the triggering of a virtuous process capable of influencing, thanks to a “cascade” effect, the production chain of each individual customer, involving other third parties in the transition process;
PFC offers a certification service capable of demonstrating the environmental commitment in the Plastic Free transition process.
The establishment of an internal PFC Research Department, investigating alternative solutions to inorganic plastics, will provide complementary services and considerable added value to the PFC services.
In addition, PFC offers training courses on the Plastic Free Standard and on compostable solutions.
