Querciamatta

Querciamatta was born in 2018, when we took a country house abandoned for 20 years, renovated it, and turned it into the starting point of our project.
We want to unite art and agriculture, to experiment and play, in constant change.
We produce olive oil and wine, but we also host events and will soon dive into the world of hospitality and tourism.
Our challenge is to make high-quality products in our area, a place which lacks this kind of culture.
Everything we do is also eco-friendly and sustainable, because we want to take care of the plants and give back to the earth, hence our products are organic and we aim to become carbon neutral as soon as possible.
We are waiting for you among the Tuscan hills.

I’m the head of the family.
I’m superior, the strongest, the less frivolous.
I mix 60% of Moraiolo, 30% of Frantoio and
10% of Leccino olives.
My entrance is decise, a bit sugary with nice fluidity.
I'm a little bitter, but balanced.
On my final you’ll find a well placed spiciness, and a pinch of youth.

I’m young and dynamic.
I’m gutsy and irrational.
I mix 60% of Frantoio and 40% of Leccino olives.
I smell of grass and fresh-cut hay.
In the mouth I’m powerful with a sweet entrance, thanks to my Leccino part.
I’m spicy and I leave a very delicate bitter note.

I’ve just arrived, I’m the intruder.
I’m the more energetic, I’m colorful. Mixing 40% of Leccino, 30% of Frantoio, and 30% of Moraiolo olives.
I smell of noble grass, with a hint of black pepper.
My entry is sweet, with a soft bitter note which makes me “perfect”.
In the end I’m slightly aggressive, not invasive but delicate.
I give you hazelnut memories and hints of tomato taste.
My color is yellow, my gentle reflections are green.

Our first wine, a Rosé with a strong character, close to a red wine.
Made with selected grapes from our vineyards, pressed and left to rest for six months in steel containers.
It smells of white flowers, with hints of peach and apricot.
It reminds of summer evenings and Tuscan hills at sunset.
