The Battistello family has been growing and producing rice since 1950. In 2000, they took a major step forward: the company revamped and began selling directly to consumers. We've been growing rice in our rice fields for over 70 years, caring for it all the way through to final sale. Cutting-edge machinery and a top-notch staff have quickly realized a long-held dream of the Battistello brothers. Our rice is the most renowned in the area, a testament to the fact that it's chosen by the most renowned restaurateurs and retailers in the Mantua area.
Our Carnaroli and Vialone Nano rice varieties travel twice a week in our vans to satisfy customers not only in the Mantua area but also in the provinces of Reggio Emilia, Brescia, Modena, and Verona. The Corte Facchina farm extends over a vast area that includes rice fields in the countryside; while in the courtyard area we find the prefabricated building dedicated to the storage and drying of rice, the pile for processing the paddy rice and for packaging, and finally the shop for retail sales.
With over 70 years of experience, we combine tradition, strictly quality control, and certified production standards to offer reliable and consistent quality for international markets.
Our products are ideal for retail, gourmet stores, and food service professionals seeking authentic Italian rice with high cooking resistance and excellent starch release.
Our goal is to bring authentic Italian rice to international markets, offering a product that reflects our territory, tradition and dedication to excellence.

Carnaroli Rice
Carnaroli rice is considered the "king of rice" by chefs and risotto enthusiasts. Its large, tapered grains remain firm at the core, yet their starch helps with creaminess. It's therefore ideal for creamy risottos and rice salads.
Vialone Nano Rice
Vialone Nano is considered the progenitor of fine rice, or rather risotto rice. With its small, rounded grain, it belongs to the semi-fine category. Suitable for any type of risotto, especially the typical risotto alla pilota.
Semi-processed Vialone Nano Rice
The semi-processed Vialone Nano rice, amber in color, is ideal for any type of risotto. The recommended cooking time is about 18-19 minutes.
Wholegrain Vialone Nano Rice
Whole Vialone Nano rice is ideal for rice soups, vegetarian risottos, and rice salads. Cooking time is approximately 50-60 minutes, or 20-25 minutes in a pressure cooker.
Dry Risotto Mix
This is a selection of risottos with a rich and enveloping flavor, prepared with quality ingredients.
-Pumpkin: delicately sweet, perfect for those who love autumn flavors
-Pumpkin and sausage: a perfect balance between the sweetness of the pumpkin and the savory flavor of the sausage
-Porcini: the bold flavor of porcini mushrooms for an elegant and fragrant dish
Ideal for a quick but flavorful meal. Ready in just a few minutes.
