Key Design is the first Italian manufacturer of windbreak glazing systems, already patented at Italian level and covered by Fanglass trademark.
Differently from its competitors, who buy the aluminium profiles from foreign partners and the glass from local glass companies, Key Design does everything in house, thanks also to the presence of Vetreria Deserto sister company, which boasts more than fifty years heritage in the glass industry.
All this results in important advantages for retailers and end customer in terms of product customization, delivery times and product quality.
Key Design product portfolio currently includes three folding glazing systems (Fanglass Standard, Fanglass Thermic and Fanglass Thermic Elite –the last two made with 25 mm double glazing) and Demetra sliding solution, available both with the 10 mm and 12 mm tempered glass.

Fanglass Thermic
FanGlass® Thermic is the latest evolution of Key Design technology, resulting in an exclusive windbreak folding system, which guarantees a better insulation of the environments thanks to the presence of double glazing. FanGlass® Thermic, made with a 25 mm thick glass, is suitable for particularly rigid areas or particularly high temperatures, allowing a thermal reduction (or dispersion) of about 50% compared to the Standard solution. This solution, differently from the Standard one, is not a frameless glazed unit, as it includes small vertical profiles between panels, necessary to cover the seal between the joined glasses. However, they have been designed in a minimal perspective in order to minimize the overall impact on the glazing aesthetic result.
Fanglass Thermic Elite
Fanglass® Thermic Elite glazing, is the latest addition to the family, born from the constant evolution of FanGlass® system On this high-tech product, Key Design is still unrivaled in the market.
Fanglass Thermic Elite® is an advanced system that embeds the vertical profiles between panels in the double glazing during the sealing stage, with an elegant and sober optical effect: a single glazed unit without vertical interruptions, for a clean and minimal panoramic view.
This technology and its accuracy in every detail make the Thermic Elite solution a state-of-the-art and extremely exclusive product. Among its peculiarities, we find the extremely thick profiles that guarantee high quality, strength and safety; the sealing beetween panels is granted by internal gaskets, while the 25 mm double glazing eliminates the condensation effect that can occur on a monolithic glass. This product is the result of an advanced glass manufacturing technology, made possible by the presence of specialized personnel and know-how acquired by Vetreria Deserto. Only a company boasting an internal glass manufacturing and transformation unit can propose such an advanced solution.
Demetra
Demetra is Key Design sliding system, where the glass panels slide in parallel on different tracks and then overlap without taking up any space either inside or outside. The exclusivity of this solution is granted by the presence of stainless steel wheels and tracks covered by steel ensuring maximum durability and a perfect sliding effect.
Each panel is made of a 10 mm monolithic tempered glass; for doors with a height greater than 2600 mm, 12 mm monolithic tempered glass is used in order to avoid glass vibrations.
Fanglass Standard
FanGlass® Standard is the packable glazing system characterized by extreme elegance, due to the absence of vertical profiles, and maximum safety, linked to the presence of 10 mm tempered glass. The system unloads its weight to the floor, compared to traditional systems where the panels hang from the upper track and this allows to have minimal profiles conferring elegance and versatility, because they make the glazing installable on any type of structure without the need for structural supports.
The folding glazing systems sold through FanGlass® registered trademark are exclusive glazed units without vertical profiles which slide on a single track and can be gathered in a pack after performing a 90 ° rotation, enhancing and extending the livability of outdoor environments throughout the course of the year.
