Chianti Riserva 2017
The Chianti Riserva from Cantina di Presciano is a refined oenological masterpiece that expresses the extraordinary beauty of its terroir and the meticulous attention devoted to its production process. The vineyards stand at an elevation of 270 meters above sea level on clay-loam soils, embracing the perfection of a hilly exposition. The unique composition of the wine consists of 100% Sangiovese grapes, embodying the true essence of the territory.
The harvest, carried out manually during the second week of October and collected in crates, is an act of precision, ensuring a meticulous selection of the grapes. Vinification begins in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks at 25°C, preserving the purity and integrity of the grapes, crucial for the quality of the finished product.
Following vinification, the wine embarks on its maturation journey in large Slavonian oak barrels, where it matures for a period of 24 months. This phase imparts complexity and depth to the wine, enriching its organoleptic characteristics. The refinement process continues subsequently in the bottle, where the wine further develops for at least 18 months, reaching its maturity and culminating in an oenological masterpiece.
The Chianti Riserva, with its intense ruby red color, immediately captivates attention. The olfactory impact of the aroma offers a symphony of consistent notes, with predominant hints of ripe red fruit, delicate nuances of violet, and a comforting touch of spices. On the palate, the wine presents itself with a sublime balance between warm power and aristocratic tannins, creating a long and enveloping finish, rich in olfactory reflections.
With an alcohol content of 14.00%, it is recommended to serve this wine at a temperature between 19°C and 20°C to fully enhance its complexity and inherent elegance. The Cantina di Presciano Chianti Riserva stands out for its gastronomic versatility, pairing magnificently with aged cheeses, red meat dishes, and game. This wine offers an immersive and unforgettable culinary experience, representing the pinnacle of tradition and innovation in winemaking.
