Bluefoundation was established in response to the growing need to identify effective solutions for reducing climate-changing emissions and achieving sustainable development goals in the industrial and energy sectors.
Bluefoundation's core service is based on a structured approach to bridge the gap between having declared sustainability goals and actually achieving them, through the planning of appropriate technological and structural interventions. The transformation towards the "factory of the future" is planned thorugh a rigorous methodology on a case-by-case basis depending on the options available, aiming at the best combination of electrification, renewables, alternative fuels, process optimization, and CO2 capture and reuse.
The working method includes scouting of innovative technologies, creation of digital twin models for simulation of the optimal sustainability scenarios (economic, technical and environmental) converging into an intervention roadmap flanked by business models and identification of technology partners needed for the implementation.

The working method involves an initial 'as-is' situation analysis phase, followed by a scouting to identify applicable innovative technological solutions. This is followed by the creation of a digital twin model of the plant(s), or more in detail of individual processes, taking into account economic, technical and environmental parameters and constraints. This makes it possible to obtain the optimal sustainability scenarios for the perimeter under consideration. The results obtained then converge into an intervention roadmap, accompanied by a business model and identification of the technological partners suitable for project implementation.
