The Troia grape is a native Apulian black grape variety. It also takes the name of "Nero di Troia" given its high polyphenolic content which gives it an intense ruby color which, at times, can seem "black".

In recent times it has begun to receive the right recognition, because it has been demonstrated that by vinifying it in purity, wines of absolute value are obtained.

Primitivo is a typical wine from Southern Italy, Puglia in particular.

The name Primitivo derives from the Latin "primativus", a term which translates as "early", and is associated with this vine because its grapes ripen before the others; in fact, the harvest can begin already at the end of August.

It is in Puglia that Primitivo has found its ideal habitat: here the vines are grown as saplings and are able to give life to wines of great body and structure.

The resulting wines are characterized by a high alcohol content, which allows for long aging, a ruby red color with violet reflections and a high sugar content.
