KANZ

KANZ is a brand and design studio founded in Venice by architects Mauro Cazzaro and Antonella Maione. KANZ designs, manufactures and sells home and table accessories, decorative items and lighting, all entirely handmade by Italian artisans. The creative approach of the designer, who works closely with the artisan and experiments with materials and techniques, enriches each object with a story that makes it unique.

All KANZ products are made by master glassmakers, potters, turners, carpenters and other passionate Italian artisans. In particular, the production of all borosilicate glass objects is based in Venice. KANZ pays particular attention to the relationship between innovation and technical possibilities, aware that knowledge of the latter is the basis of all possible experimentation. The relationship with the artisan thus becomes an indispensable design tool.

Made entirely by hand in borosilicate glass, this vase is part of the ‘Ikebana for Beginners’ project, in which the object becomes a dynamic expression of the emotions generated in those who use it. The round base is connected by a hollow cylinder to a twin element at the top, featuring seven holes into which single-stem flowers can be inserted. Reversing the concept of the vase from a container to a tool that supports and displays floral arrangements, this piece will look great in any contemporary décor.

The Soufflè vase is made of borosilicate glass, handcrafted in Venice. It is a vase that does not have an archetypal shape and, even without flowers, is a small piece of architecture capable of filling and decorating a space. The holes through which the cut flowers are inserted are reminiscent of Burano lace, and their randomness characterises Soufflè, elevating it to a unique piece.

The Isola stool or table is made of Murano blown glass, with each piece uniquely handcrafted by Venetian artisans. It stands out for its large size and complex craftsmanship, which make it difficult to replicate. Available in four different colours: blue, pulegoso topaz, amethyst and smoked.

The Bubble wine glass collection is made of blown borosilicate glass and handcrafted in Venice.
The glasses are characterised by the shape of the bowl, a bubble that varies in shape and size but retains the characteristics of a classic wine glass. The wide, slender base, combined with the slender, irregular stem, await the moment when the bubble, in a precarious balance, leaves the material from which it took shape, becoming unique in the air.

The vases in the Tosca collection embody elegance and craftsmanship with their unique design. Handcrafted from borosilicate glass, their simple appearance is enhanced by a flowing, transparent neck that varies from piece to piece. The vertical, fluted body contrasts with the free height of the neck. Made by Venetian artisans, they are hand-painted without moulds. The subtle variations in shape, size and colour highlight the craftsmanship of these non-mass-produced pieces.
