The history of the Sciola company begins in Montauro, a small villege in Calabria, a sun-kissed land in the deep South of Italy. Located between the Ionian Sea and the Tyrrhenian Sea, and embraced by the majestic Sila montain, Calabria harmoniously blend sea and mountains, enchanting tourists and locals alike. In this corner of paradise, agriculture and the appreciation of the land have always played a primary role, thanks to the abundance of natural resources that characterizes the region. The Sciola company was founded with the aim of supporting the local economy by creating job opportunities in a fading reality, where both young and old find themselves having to leave their birthplace in search of a better life. Our mission is to introduce the world to the ancient recipes created by the grandmothers of this small Italian village, used to prepare delicious jarred preserves, which are at risk of being lost in moders time. All our products are entirely of Italian origin, distinguished by a unique taste and made in accordance with the traditional methods of food preservation from Calabria. At the Sciola company, we dedicate ourselves with passion and craftsmanship to the artisanal production of a wide range of innovative products such as vegetables preserved in oil, as well as eggplant creams, sun-dried tomatoes and almonds, red onion veloutè, and much more. We aim to be ambassadors of the traditional Calabrian cuisine worldwide, preserving and spreading the strong values that characterize our business: authenticity, the appreciation of artisanship, and the continual pursuit of quality.
