A Commitment to Flavour and Sustainability

We work exclusively with growers who prioritise flavour, tradition, and sustainability. Our produce is deeply tied to the land it comes from, capturing the distinctive terroir of each region. This results in products of extraordinary taste and character.

A Wide Range of Seasonal and Regional Specialities

Our network spans the length of Italy, from Paolo’s DOP Basil in Savona to Sebastiano’s Marinda Winter Tomatoes grown in the cold, sandy soils of Pachino. In Scordia, our long-standing collaboration with Carmelo brings citrus fruits with vibrant colour and complex sweetness, thanks to the area's unique microclimate.

We also work with:

- Luca (Radicchio Castelfranco – Veneto)
- Romualdo (Tema Artichokes – South Sardinia)
- Domenico (Fresh Peas and Broad Beans – Campania)
- Foragers across Tuscany, Emilia Romagna, and Piedmont for wild produce such as truffles and mushrooms

Right now, find Carmelo’s Moro Blood Oranges and Leafy Navel Oranges in our Leafy Citrus Selection.

We’ve worked with Carmelo for almost 20 years, one of our longest standing relationships. He grows in the Sicilian region of Scordia, high above sea level where the altitude and unique microclimate create the ideal growing conditions for citrus: mild days and cold nights. It’s this contrast that helps bring the fruits to maturity, heightening pigmentation and allowing them to accumulate sugars.

Carmelo has spent years finding the perfect altitude, rootstock and soil type for his trees. He tends each with exceptional care, pruning meticulously to ensure they reach full fruiting potential.

Travel to Sardinia meant catching up with Romualdo, who grows our Tema artichokes.

One of the last truly traditional producers on the island, we’ve been working with Romualdo for over a decade, and the fire in his eyes hasn’t diminished at all.

He saves his seed for both his Tema and Mammole varieties, just as he used to with his winter tomatoes. Now, only growing artichokes, every single head is precious.

As we hit peak artichoke season, what we saw during our visit exemplifies just what we’re looking for in this variety - tender enough to serve raw and meaty enough to braise.

Antonello is one of a few growers remaining that continues to master the traditional and fiercely regional art of sand-forcing, an intensely time consuming labour of love that elevates radicchio to the next level. This meticulous technique brings out radicchio’s distinct bittersweet flavor, firm heads, and vibrant color

Raffaele cultivates Cuore del Vesuvio in volcanic, mineral-rich soil on stepped hillsides, overlooking the Bay of Naples. This tomato is rooted in a place where the growing conditions are as unique as the variety itself.

As with cultivating cucumber, melon and other varieties of tomato, controlling water intake is really important. Raffaele stays on top of this brilliantly by minimally watering his plants, which is a careful balancing act – ensuring that the plant stays alive but stressing it enough to produce the high concentration of sugar and nutrients – the key to its incredible flavour.

Paolo’s DOP Basil lands with us from the terraced hills of Celle Ligure.

Grown in native soil, a condition of its DOP status, this variety is incredibly fragrant, with small oval leaves that carry none of the bitterness of more mature plants. Each is bunched, its roots packed in soil to preserve it for longer.

This basil is rarely seen outside of Liguria, where it thrives in the mild coastal climate. Paolo cultivates his crop beneath traditional wooden structures draped with netting, creating a greenhouse-style environment. He lays down narrow wooden bridges balancing over seas of bright basil – handpicking stem by delicate stem.

Backed by over 20 years of experience, Paolo knows the exact point to pick and catch his leaves while they’re young, when both colour and flavour are exceptionally vibrant.
