Esse Costruzioni - AYRIS

Esse Costruzioni S.r.l. is an Italian company specialized in the design and construction of advanced technological systems for controlled‑environment rooms, growth chambers, climate rooms, experimental laboratories and modular clean rooms, serving universities, research centers, the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, and other high‑specialization industrial applications.

The company develops fully customized solutions, engineered around the client’s technical requirements and process needs. Each installation is based on in‑house mechanical and HVAC design, with particular focus on finely tuned sizing of air‑conditioning systems, long‑term stability of environmental parameters and operational reliability.

Esse Costruzioni’s systems enable precise control of temperature, humidity, light, pressure, air changes and other critical parameters, making them suitable for university and agronomic research, pharmaceutical testing and stability studies, experimental cultivation, sensitive‑material storage, and ISO 7/8 clean rooms.

A key differentiator is the proprietary, customizable control software, developed in‑house, which allows remote monitoring and management, and seamless integration with sensors, cameras, AI modules, dimmable lighting, automated irrigation and other auxiliary components depending on the final application.

The company does not sell standard catalogue products; instead, it delivers climate chambers, phytotrons, clean rooms and automated systems configured to the customer’s real needs, using high‑quality industrial components and designs that are scalable, upgradable and easy to integrate in complex facilities.

For the research sector, Esse Costruzioni supports universities and laboratories with controlled environments for plant, microbiological and environmental experimentation. In pharma and biotech, it supplies rooms and technical environments for testing, storage and sensitive processes where control, traceability and repeatability of conditions are essential.

In addition to climate chambers, the company also develops modular clean rooms and related technological systems, combining expertise in air‑handling, filtration, pressure control, automation and advanced mechanical systems.

All engineering and manufacturing are the result of Italian technical know‑how, aimed at providing reliable, highly customized and technology‑driven solutions. This approach positions Esse Costruzioni as a technical partner for research institutes, universities, pharmaceutical companies and industrial clients that require tailor‑made controlled‑environment facilities with high performance standards and strong adaptability to complex projects.

To support international clients, the group operates a dedicated showroom and demo hub in Orlando, Florida, through its US entity Essentia Industrial Projects LLC. In Orlando, customers and partners can visit full‑scale walk‑in climate rooms and clean‑room solutions, see the proprietary control software in operation and discuss custom engineering options for North American research, pharma and high‑tech projects.

This video showcases the collaboration between Esse Costruzioni / Essentia Industrial Projects and Sapienza University of Rome, Department of Environmental Biology, focused on custom smart climate growth chambers for advanced research. It takes the viewer inside the controlled‑environment rooms, showing how temperature, humidity, light and air flow are managed with high precision to reproduce complex environmental scenarios and support cutting‑edge plant and environmental studies. The main technical elements are highlighted: insulated walk‑in chambers, HVAC equipment, air distribution and filtration, dimmable LED lighting and, where installed, automated irrigation and pressure control. The chambers are presented as flexible, fully walk‑in research tools, engineered around the needs of Sapienza’s teams and designed as a reference model for future collaborations between industry and academia in plant science and agritech.

Custom Climate Rooms for Academic Research – Our Work with Sapienza University

Brochure

Esse Costruzioni S.r.l. designs and manufactures advanced, fully customized climate growth chambers and modular clean rooms for universities, research centers, pharmaceutical companies and biotech applications. Our solutions provide precise control of temperature, humidity, light, pressure and air quality, enabling reliable and repeatable test conditions for plant science, microbiology, pharmaceutical stability studies and high‑value R&D.

Each system is engineered in Italy with finely sized HVAC and mechanical components, high‑quality industrial materials and a strong focus on long‑term reliability and energy efficiency. We do not sell catalogue products: every chamber and clean room is configured around the specific protocol, layout and process requirements of the client, with options for walk‑in rooms, multi‑zone configurations, high‑load shelving, automated irrigation, overpressure/under‑pressure control and advanced air filtration.

A key differentiator is our proprietary control software, developed in‑house and fully customizable. The platform allows remote monitoring and control via web interface, data logging and integration with sensors, cameras, AI modules, dimmable LED lighting and other subsystems. This makes our climate rooms and clean rooms particularly suitable for modern research environments that require connectivity, traceability and integration with existing lab infrastructure.

Typical applications include plant growth and phenotyping, seed and variety trials, pharmaceutical stability testing, conservation of temperature‑sensitive materials, pre‑clinical research, biologics storage and controlled environments for clean manufacturing or sample preparation. For clean rooms, we provide modular ISO‑classified solutions (e.g. ISO 7/8) with attention to airflow patterns, filtration, contamination control and easy maintenance.

To support international customers, the group also operates a dedicated showroom and demo hub in Orlando, Florida, through Essentia Industrial Projects LLC. In Orlando, visitors can experience full‑scale walk‑in climate rooms and clean‑room solutions, see the proprietary software in operation and discuss tailored engineering options for North American projects in research, pharma and high‑tech industry.

All our products are designed and built in Italy, combining engineering expertise, flexibility and a strong customization capability, so that clients can focus on their science and processes while relying on a robust, precise and easy‑to‑use environmental control system.

Our Custom Modular Utility Skids are pre‑assembled and fully tested technical units designed to support a wide range of industrial processes. They integrate, in a single compact frame, all the main components required for specific applications such as fluid filtration, process water distribution, industrial irrigation, thermal control, air treatment and other utility services.

Each skid is engineered to customer specifications and built in Italy, using high‑quality industrial components and a robust mechanical structure. Typical configurations may include pumps, filters, heat exchangers, buffer tanks, dosing systems, valves, sensors, control panels and safety devices, all mounted, wired and function‑tested in our workshop before shipment. This approach significantly reduces on‑site installation time, coordination complexity and commissioning risks.

The skids can be supplied with proprietary PLC‑based control systems and automation software, allowing centralized management of operating parameters, alarms and data logging, as well as easy integration with existing plant control systems . Control logic, interfaces and communication protocols are fully customizable according to process and end‑user requirements.

These modular units are suitable for multiple sectors, including industrial water treatment, process fluid handling, agricultural and industrial irrigation, HVAC and thermal plants, as well as utility support for climate rooms, clean rooms and other controlled environments. By concentrating key utilities in a standardized, accessible and documented package, our Modular Utility Skids simplify maintenance, facilitate future upgrades and make replication of successful solutions across different sites faster and more reliable.

Entirely designed and assembled in Italy, they combine engineering flexibility, high manufacturing standards and a strong customization capability, enabling clients to receive a ready‑to‑connect solution perfectly aligned with their process needs.
