History told by time In centuries of cultivation of their own, the Dolzan have accumulated a considerable quantity of tools for wine growing and winemaking. Luigi has made a beautiful selection of such objects from an ethnographic point of view, including in his collection several pieces which stand out as authentic rarities. The collection is now a nationally important museum which takes advantage of the company’s most beautiful room to show 1.600 catalogued antique objects, farming, wine cellar and distillery implements and tools. 280 historical documents testify to centuries of ethnographic life of the Dolzan Family.

GRAPPA VECCHIA RISERVA VIBRAZIONI VILLA de VARDA

A Masterpiece by Villa de Varda Grappa Vecchia Riserva is selected and produced exclusively with pomace made in Trentino. It is obtained by softly pressing the pomace while it is still dripping with wine and is distilled immediately after rack off.It is a recipe made up of a Trentino single blend called Teroldego and taken from different batches. Distillation is performed very slowly, with the skill of an expert Master Distiller, using special discontinuous stills made of copper. The very special aging this grappa is given involves long periods in barrels made exclusively for Villa de Varda from red oak from the Valle di Fiemme in the Trentino Dolomites. The ideal habitat of this highly sought-after, century-old tree is in the “Forest of Violins”, which was named after the renowned musical instruments made of the unique wood from this area. In fact, the most famous luthiers of the past - such as Stradivarius, Amati and Guarnieri - were well aware of the unique resonant qualities and inimitable vibration produced by this noble wood, so they chose it to build soundboards for the greatest, most demanding violinists in the world, starting with Nicolò Paganini and Mozart. Being lovers and connoisseurs of art, and devoted to accentuating the noblest of human emotions, the Dolzan family decided to bring back and further investigate the special qualities of this very special wood, a material that by nature not only produces remarkably uniform sound, but is also replete with extraordinary aromatic properties - the elite virtues required to produce sublime Grappa Vecchia Riserva, an elixir appropriately named VIBRAZIONI
