- About us
- Company details
It was the 1960s, and everything started with a spring.
Or rather, with the manufacture of mattress springs.
Intuition, drive and a bent for experimentation did the rest, all set in motion
by the current CEO Pietro Fabemoli.
From the contract production of pillows in the 1970s to the creation of its
own models in the 1980s, to the creation of accessories - pillowcases,
mattress covers and valances - in the years to follow, with the branching
off into infancy products and the medical sector in the ‘90s. It has been
an exciting journey that has seen us grow into a constantly expanding
company with its main focus on the health of our end users, and with the
culture of well-being as its trademark. Our headquarters have, from the
very beginning, been in Calcio, in the manufacturing heart of the Bergamo
plains. Initially, in 1980, a carding plant with a production and storage area
of around 800 square metres, was used for the production of wadding,
with an assembly and packaging line for fibre pillows. Expansion followed
in 1985, with the acquisition of warehousing for raw materials.
Years later - in 1990, to be precise - the entire company was moved to a
completely new 2000-square-metre production site with offices,
two carding plants, two assembly and packaging lines for pillows, a
cutting line to complete production with mattress covers and pillowcases,
and a machine for continuous quilting of upholstery.
1993 saw the first contact with Japan.
This is a demanding market that appreciates the excellence of Italian
manufacturing, thanks to which new pre-shipping vacuum packaging and
metal detector inspection systems were introduced in 1995.
In 2001, the first circular knitting machine for the production of technical
knitted fabrics was introduced, followed by a second machine in 2006,
a year that also saw further expansion of a part of the warehouse and new
operational offices.
In 2019, the major production centres were upgraded with new 4.0
technology. A two-head quilting machine was installed for new forms of
upholstery, voluminous products and shaped memory foam items, also
with the employment of new woven fabrics. The carding plants were
also upgraded with fibre preparation, dust recovery and continuous
weighing systems for ever greater precision in the processing of wadding
and in weight control. 2020 saw major expansion of the finished goods
warehouse and of an adjacent office building aimed at housing a largescale photovoltaic system, enabling Fabe to become completely energy
independent _ an ecological contribution to the environment _.
The company currently occupies an area of 7,500 square metres, of
which 4,000 are dedicated to offices and warehousing and the rest to
production. Our predilection for anything that is both “practical and
beautiful” is also reflected in our headquarters. Light, space and original
architecture convey, both to us who work there and to our visitors, the idea
of a company that is constantly striving for innovation.
Expertise, know-how, continuous evolution and a focus on
experimentation. These all form the foundation for our concept of
production in line with the times.

Carbon Plus Cervical pillow
The Carbon Plus Cervical pillow provides differentiated areas and thicknesses of support, in addition to distinctly different sensations on the two sides, with greater lift and thickness than a cervical pillow, making it particularly suitable in the case of heavier physiques, and with a generous neck-shoulder width of over 15 cm. Comprising two fundamental components, it is ideal for people who sleep on their side or in the foetal position. The first component, the inner cushion, has a profiled, double-thickness internal core, in non-deformable, flexible, supportive expanded polyurethane, which offers extreme comfort, high performance and reliability. The outer cover is made in fine cotton percale with cool, hygienic SILVERPLUS® treatment, offering exceptional anti-microbial and bacteriostatic effects. The filling is composed of hypoallergenic eco-recycled polyester fibre wadding, carded and in a series of successive layers. On the surface, small areas of linear quilting are applied in specific positions at differentiated distances, enabling the face and nape to be optimally positioned on the softest areas, at the centre and sides of the pillow, while the neck is supported by the firmer and more rigid areas on the two longer sides.
The outer cover, the second component, contains and completes the pillow inside, and is quilted on one side with knitted fabric containing 23% carbon yarn, clearly visible from the attractive pattern, capable of providing notable benefits, being, for example, anti-static, bacteriostatic, breathable, free of chemical products and non-toxic. It is well padded, extremely elastic and flexible. The other side is in fine cotton percale, with SILVERPLUS® treatment, cool and hygienic, offering a notable antimicrobial and bacteriostatic effect. In this way it is possible to use the Carbon Plus Cervical pillow to enjoy completely different sensations of support: either firmer cervical support or a gentler, softer sensation. It has been demonstrated that the prevention, alleviation and mitigation of the problems linked to the cervical column are particularly important, and this makes the Carbon Plus Cervical pillow suitable for rehabilitation and physiotherapy, both in the prevention and the treatment of muscular and skeletal problems, and for idiopathic pain in the cervical column. Particularly recommended for people who sleep on their back, on their side or in the foetal position, the most appropriate postures.
Ideal Position Cervical pillow
The medium-high Ideal Position Cervical pillow (14/15 cm on the sides, 10/12 cm in the centre) allows specific heights and forms of support in different sleeping positions, thanks to its non-deformable and flexible expanded polyurethane core, shaped according to precise dimensions and points. It respects the anatomy of the body while maintaining the alignment of the spine and adapting to body shapes in all sleeping positions. The filling is composed of hypoallergenic eco-recycled polyester fibre wadding, carded and in a series of successive layers. The outer cover is shaped and padded appropriately at the top to better accommodate the head and neck. The knitted fabric contains 25% copper yarn obtained by combining natural or artificial fibres and a slender filament of pure copper. By means of the exceptional properties of this metal, Copper fabric is beneficial for the human body, necessary for growth and development, and indispensable for a good state of health. The side and lower part of the outer cover is made in fine cotton percale with cool and hygienic Silverplus® treatment that offers remarkable antimicrobial and bacteriostatic properties. Using the medium-high Ideal Position Cervical pillow also has a positive effect on posture throughout the day, whether standing or sitting. It adapts to the most common sleeping positions, allowing for quick and easy switching between supine (the lowest area in the centre of the pillow) and lateral (the higher sides) positions, minimising movement during the night without the need to move the pillow; this feature increases the stability of deep sleep phases, improving the quality of sleep. The higher lateral areas facilitate the alignment of the cervical spine and the maintenance of the shoulder in a more depressed (shoulder away from the ear, respecting the natural balance of the trapezium muscles, levator scapulae muscle, scalenes and sternocleidomastoid) and backward position (shoulder properly balanced in the antero-posterior position, which promotes the natural balance of the pectoral muscles and rotator cuff) for sleeping on one’s side. It can help to improve certain cervical and shoulder conditions. The medium-high Ideal Position Cervical pillow is recommended for those who sleep on their back, on their side or in the foetal position, the most appropriate postures.
High Density Comfort pillow
The High Density Comfort fibre pillow is compact and highly padded, thanks to its expanded polyurethane core. Comfortable, due to the structure of the quilted and suitably padded outer cover, made in fine percale cotton with cool and hygienic Silverplus® treatment that offers remarkable antimicrobial and bacteriostatic properties. The filling is composed of hypoallergenic eco-recycled polyester fibre wadding, carded and in a series of successive layers. The High Density Comfort pillow is recommended for those who sleep on their side or in the foetal position.
Smooth Anti-wrinkle & Cervical Memory Pillow
The adjustable-height Smooth Anti-wrinkle & Cervical Memory pillow, is constructed with differentiated support for the cervical area and lateral contact areas. Its dedicated shape is achieved through special stitching in precise areas of the surface, delineating different support areas and creating lower, non-contact areas for the temples and face when the sleeper is on their side. This prevents pressure from being exerted by the weight of the head on the pillow, thus helping to avoid the formation of unwelcome signs of ageing on the sides of the face. When lying in a supine position, the nape is in the softest area, in the centre of the pillow. Maximum comfort is provided by the profiled component made in viscoelastic Breeze® memory foam with an open-cell design. This guarantees the unrestricted passage of air and the rapid dispersion of moisture and heat, fundamental for quality sleep and beneficial relaxation. Support to the neck and nape is balanced, extremely delicate and self-shaping, governed by the heat from the neck. The fabrics used for the outer covers are made with satin Tencel™ yarn or a mix of polyester and Tencel™ yarn, which are natural, biodegradable and extremely effective in absorbing and dispersing moisture. The inner cover is in knitted fabric, while the removable outer cover is made with a fine satin Tencel™, silky and soft to the touch. The padding also consists of fresh, hygroscopic and antibacterial Tencel™ carded and layered fibre wadding, mixed with hypoallergenic eco-recycled polyester fibre. Natural and sustainable comfort. The Smooth Anti-wrinkle & Cervical Memory pillow is provided with a support inserted inside the pillow cover, for greater support and height. It can help prevent, control and alleviate cervical spine conditions by properly supporting and aligning the head and neck. The Smooth & Cervical Memory pillow is recommended for those who sleep on their back, on their side or in the foetal position, the most appropriate postures.
Orthopaedic School Greenfirst® Anti-mite pillow
The Orthopaedic School pillow for children is recommended for children aged from 3 to 6 years old, and it has a special, gently-profiled internal core in flexible, supportive expanded polyurethane, that offers extreme comfort for the head and neck. The filling is comprised of hypoallergenic eco-recycled polyester fibre wadding, carded and in a series of successive layers. It is particularly recommended for use by school-age children who sleep on their back, on their side or in the foetal position, the most appropriate postures. At this age, children may begin to suffer from poor posture due to the excessive weight of school backpacks, and therefore begin to suffer neck and shoulder pain. The Orthopedic School pillow can therefore help prevent cervical spine conditions in adulthood, if used correctly in conjunction with adequate exercise. The outer cover is made of knitted fabric with a highly acaricidal Greenfirst® plant-based anti-mite treatment. This treatment is non-pollutant, and does not contain chemical microcapsules of pesticides or solvents, as it is made with essential oils. The natural active ingredient is geraniol, compliant with the 98/8/EC Biocide Directive and Oeko-Tex® Standard 100. The hypo-allergenic characteristics of the Greenfirst® treatment have been documented by the Institut Dermatologique d’Aquitaine IDEA. The efficacy of Greenfirst® has been guaranteed by the independent laboratory TEC. Careful checks are made on the entire production and distribution chain, and every item is labelled and numbered to ensure its traceability. For further information, please consult www.greenfirst.fr. It has a printed cotton cover with flap designed by Nicoletta Costa that allows easy cleaning and washing.
