Italy at InnoTrans 2026
The participation of ITA – Italian Trade Agency at InnoTrans 2026 is part of its activities aimed at promoting the internationalization of Italian companies and attracting foreign investment to Italy. Through its Foreign Direct Investment Department and the Invest in Italy programme, ITA promotes investment opportunities in the mobility and railway technology sectors, fostering connections between international investors, Italian companies and institutions.
ITA will be present at Hall 10.1, Stand 170, providing investors, companies, industry professionals and international stakeholders with information on Italy’s industrial ecosystem and investment opportunities, while facilitating industrial partnerships, business cooperation and new investment projects.
Participation in InnoTrans also represents an important opportunity to showcase Italy’s expertise in railway mobility, rolling stock, infrastructure, components and innovative technologies, with a particular focus on digitalization, artificial intelligence, automation, cybersecurity, energy efficiency and sustainability.
InnoTrans 2026 is one of the leading international events for the railway and mobility industry, bringing together the entire value chain across five thematic areas: Railway Technology, Railway Infrastructure, Public Transport, Interiors and Tunnel Construction. The 2026 edition, marking the 30th anniversary of the event, will cover approximately 200,000 m² of exhibition space, with all available space already fully booked. The 2024 edition recorded 2,946 exhibitors from 59 countries and approximately 170,000 visitors from 133 countries.
Germany is one of Europe’s most important railway markets and a strategic market for the Italian mobility industry. In 2025, local rail transport recorded approximately 2.8 billion passengers, while long-distance rail transport reached around 146 million passengers, an increase of 3% compared with 2024. Rail freight transport moved approximately 328 million tonnes of goods.

Italien auf der InnoTrans 2026
Die Teilnahme der ITA – Italian Trade Agency an der InnoTrans 2026 ist Teil ihrer Aktivitäten zur Förderung der Internationalisierung italienischer Unternehmen und zur Anziehung ausländischer Investitionen nach Italien. Über ihr Foreign Direct Investment Department und das Programm Invest in Italy fördert die ITA Investitionsmöglichkeiten in den Bereichen Mobilität und Bahntechnologie und unterstützt den Austausch zwischen internationalen Investoren, italienischen Unternehmen und Institutionen.
Die ITA ist in Halle 10.1, Stand 170, vertreten und bietet Investoren, Unternehmen, Branchenvertretern und internationalen Stakeholdern Informationen über das italienische Industrieökosystem und Investitionsmöglichkeiten. Gleichzeitig unterstützt sie die Anbahnung von industriellen Partnerschaften, geschäftlichen Kooperationen und neuen Investitionsprojekten.
Die Teilnahme an der InnoTrans bietet zudem eine wichtige Gelegenheit, Italiens Kompetenzen in den Bereichen Schienenverkehr, Schienenfahrzeuge, Infrastruktur, Komponenten und innovative Technologien hervorzuheben, mit besonderem Fokus auf Digitalisierung, künstliche Intelligenz, Automatisierung, Cybersicherheit, Energieeffizienz und Nachhaltigkeit.
Die InnoTrans 2026 zählt zu den führenden internationalen Veranstaltungen der Bahn- und Mobilitätsbranche und vereint die gesamte Wertschöpfungskette in fünf Themenbereichen: Railway Technology, Railway Infrastructure, Public Transport, Interiors und Tunnel Construction. Die Ausgabe 2026, die das 30-jährige Bestehen der Veranstaltung markiert, umfasst rund 200.000 m² Ausstellungsfläche. Die verfügbaren Ausstellungsflächen sind bereits vollständig ausgebucht. Die Ausgabe 2024 verzeichnete 2.946 Aussteller aus 59 Ländern sowie rund 170.000 Besucher aus 133 Ländern.
Deutschland zählt zu den wichtigsten Bahnmärkten Europas und ist ein strategisch bedeutender Markt für die italienische Mobilitätsbranche. Im Jahr 2025 wurden im Schienenpersonennahverkehr rund 2,8 Milliarden Fahrgäste befördert, während der Schienenpersonenfernverkehr rund 146 Millionen Fahrgäste verzeichnete – ein Anstieg von 3 % gegenüber 2024. Im Schienengüterverkehr wurden rund 328 Millionen Tonnen Güter transportiert.
