MALAYSIA: BANK NEGARA MALAYSIA (BNM) INTERNATIONAL RESERVES AT US$103.6 BILLION as at February 15

According to Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), the international reserves has amounted to US$103.6 billion as at Feb 15, down by a marginal 0.1% from US$103.7 billion as at January 30. This reserves position is sufficient to finance 7.1 months of retained import and about 1.1 times the short-term external debt. The main components of the international reserves are foreign currency reserves US$97 billion, international monetary fund reserves position US$0.8 billion, special drawing rights (SDRs) US$1.2 billion, gold US$ 1.5 billion, and other reserve assets US$3.1 billion to examine the accurate of international reserves.
