BIOFACH 2024: Best of Italian Organic Food in Hall 4

From February 13 - 16, 2024, the global organic community will meet once again at the world’s leading trade fair for organic food in Nuremberg.

Continuing the tradition, the Italian Trade Agency will participate at BIOFACH 2024 with a collective stand of 69 exhibitors, each offering unique and authentic Italian organic delicacies. Visitors can expect in Hall 4 the essence of Italian craftsmanship: olive oil, balsamic vinegar, fresh and dried pasta, aromatic coffee, artisanal pastries, the luxury of truffles and much more.

When talking about the organic sector Italy is leader in terms of share of agricultural area, operators, and exports. In 2022 Italy had almost 2.2 million hectares of organic agricultural surfaces and the highest percentage of these on the total (17%) in Europe. The European average share is still stable at 9% and far from the 25% target included in the EU “Farm to Fork” Strategy for 2030.

According to a survey from Nomisma for the Italian Trade Agency the main destinations in Europe for Italian BIO food are Germany (indicated overall by 63% of 290 surveyed companies), followed by France (46%) and Benelux (34%).

BIOFACH 2024: Das Beste aus Italiens Bio-Lebensmitteln in Halle 4

Vom 13. bis 16. Februar 2024 trifft sich die internationale Bio-Branche wieder auf der Weltleitmesse für Bio-Lebensmittel in Nürnberg.

Der Tradition folgend, wird die Italian Trade Agency auf der BIOFACH 2024 mit einem Gemeinschaftsstand von 69 Ausstellern vertreten sein, die alle einzigartige und authentische italienische Bio-Delikatessen anbieten. In Halle 4 erwartet die Besucher die Essenz italienischer Handwerkskunst: Olivenöl, Balsamico-Essig, frische und getrocknete Pasta, aromatischer Kaffee, handwerkliches Gebäck, Trüffelspezialitäten und vieles mehr.

Italien nimmt im Bio-Sektor eine führende Position ein, sowohl hinsichtlich des Anteils an landwirtschaftlicher Fläche als auch in Bezug auf Betreiber und Exporte. Im Jahr 2022 verfügte Italien über fast 2,2 Millionen Hektar biologischer Anbauflächen und damit den höchsten Anteil (17 %) in Europa. Im europäischen Durchschnitt liegt der Anteil biologischer Anbauflächen immer noch bei 9 % und ist weit von dem in der EU-Strategie „Vom Hof zum Teller“ für 2030 festgelegten Ziel von 25 % entfernt. Laut einer Umfrage von Nomisma sind die wichtigsten Zielländer für italienische Bio-Lebensmittel in Europa Deutschland (insgesamt 63 % der 290 befragten Unternehmen), gefolgt von Frankreich (46 %) und den Benelux-Ländern (34 %).
