Made in Italy wird in Deutschland sehr geschätzt.

Under the motto "Solutions for a sustainable future" 380 Italian manufacturers presented their products at ISH in Frankfurt. ISH is the world's leading trade fair for water, heating, ventilating and air conditioning that took place from 13th to 17th March 2023 with more than 2.000 exhibitors.

Made in Italy is highly valued in Germany: every year, Germany imports bathroom furnishings worth 140 million euros from Italy, most recently with an increase of 12% over the previous year. 17% of German imports in this sector are from Italy.

The Italian bathroom furnishings sector with almost 1,000 companies and around 23.000 employees is showing a positive trend with a total turnover of 3.8 billion euros. Exports account for 45% of total turnover. These figures have been reported by FederlegnoArredo, the Italian association of woodworking and furniture industries, which represents the Italian enterprises of the sector from raw material to finished design product.

Made in Italy bathroom furnishings have experienced a radical change in recent decades, becoming the expression of a new way of conceiving and experiencing the bathroom that suits the different lifestyles. This is a lively, dynamic and forward-thinking sector which, thanks to the uniqueness, beauty and quality of the products of Made in Italy companies, has managed to overcome the pandemic-related crisis better than others and to maintain its position on the international market.

In doing so, Italian companies have consciously chosen the theme of sustainability. It is a path that Made in Italy manufacturers recognized some time ago and took without hesitation. Nowadays sustainability, circular economy, water saving, certifications and environmental friendliness are turning out to be not only a moral-ethical issue, but also an economic factor resulting in competitive advantages.
