THE WORLD BANK INTENDS TO SUPPORT ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN JORDAN WITH $200 MILLION

A World Bank document revealed its intention to provide a $200 million grant to support the technical sector, to create jobs and digital skills, and train Jordanian entrepreneurs and Syrian refugees in Jordan. A government official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, told al Mamlaka the funding was "still under discussion with the World Bank's Board of Executive Directors." The document predicted the World Bank's Board of Executive Directors would approve the funding on September 27, as the new project would be managed by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship (ICE AMMAN)
