Motorways operator Autoceste FBiH said that a planned road show for promoting a Corridor Vc motorway construction project financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has been postponed for the second half of February. The road show for the construction of the 35-kilometre long section Ovcari - Prenj tunnel - Mostar North had been originally scheduled to take place on January 16 in Sarajevo, but as per request of the EBRD it will take place in London, Autoceste FBiH said in a notice. Autoceste FBiH added it will inform the public on the exact new date of the road show in a timely manner. The motorway section includes the construction of the 10.2-kilometre Prenj tunnel, which will be one of the longest in the region. In December, Autoceste FBiH said it has launched the process of selecting a contractor for the Ovcari - Mostar North section that includes the Prenj tunnel. The company has secured 600 million euro financing for the project from the EBRD and the European Investment Bank (EIB), and plans to apply for an EU grant of 120 million euro for the project. Back then, Autoceste FBiH also launched the procedure for choosing a contractor for building the 15-km section Mostar North - Mostar South, saying the joint financing for it, provided by a consortium of local banks and the EBRD, totals 240 million euro, with an option to apply for a 12 million euro EU grant. The 50 km section between Ovcari and Mostar South will comprise 10 bridges, 12 tunnels, and two loops. European transport Corridor vc has a total length of 700 km and connects the Adriatic port of Ploce in Croatia with Budapest in Hungary via Bosnia. Its length in Bosnia is some 340 km.  (ICE SARAJEVO)
