Jordan's foreign trade, which includes national exports, re-exports and imports, reached a total of JOD19.63 billion in 2019, according to a study by the Amman Chamber of Commerce.The country's national exports accounted for JOD4.99 billion of the total amount, with 41.6 percent of exports going to Arab nations, 28.6 percent to the U.S., Canada and Mexico and 19.9 percent to non-Arab Asian countries.According to the study, the Kingdom's exports included foodstuffs, livestock, inedible raw materials, garments and plastic products among others. In turn, the study reveals that the Kingdom's commodity imports dropped to JOD13.72 billion in 2019 against JOD14.42 billion a year earlier.With regard to re-exports, they totaled JOD910 million, down from JOD828 million in 2018, indicating a growth of 9.9 percent year-on-year.The top destinations of Jordan's exports included, the U.S., Saudi Arabia, India, Iraq, Kuwait, the UAE, China, Palestine, Indonesia, Singapore, Egypt, Qatar, Lebanon, Singapore, Canada, Algeria, Syria, Yemen, Bahrain and Sudan.
