KAZAKHSTAN-RURAL-AREAS-FINANCING Kazakh government to allocate 105 bln tenge to finance rural development in 2021

The government of Kazakhstan will allocate 105 billion tenge in 2021 in order to finance development of 480 villages in the regions, Minister of National Economy Aset Irgaliyev said. “This year we plan to direct 105 billion tenge under the Auyl-Yel Besigi Project for development of 480 villages with a total of 1.3 million residents. This will allow us to implement over 1,000 projects aimed at development of the transport, social, housing and utility infrastructure,” Irgaliyev said at a Tuesday meeting of the government, when presenting the revised 2021 budget. In the next five years the government will provide as much as 800 billion tenge in order to solve the infrastructure problems in the rural areas, which will help improve the living conditions for seven million rural residents in more than 3,500 villages, the minister said. All rural areas will be provided with high-speed internet access, 95% of the local motor roads will be in good condition and 24 million square meters of residential space will be built in the villages, he added.
