TRAVEL BUBBLE BETWEEN HK AND SINGAPORE ON COURSE TO LAUNCH IN MAY

The travel bubble between Hong Kong and Singapore will be launched in mid-May despite discovery of a mutant Covid-19 strain.  Although mutated variant of Covid-19 was found in Hong Kong recently, the travel bubble scheme remains on course, according to South China Morning Post. The two cities will outline the details in the upcoming days and the government will allow sufficient time for interested travellers to be fully vaccinated, according to SCMP.  The government will not pull out of the plan, and Singapore is keen on materialising it as soon as possible, a HK government insider told SCMP.  Currently Hongkongers are classified as fully vaccinated 14 days after receiving their second jab.  Earlier a Dubai returnee was tested positive with the N501Y variant. His friend was infected as well and the residents at the building were sent to quarantine.  Singapore sees 14 additional cases as of noon today, and its tally stands at 60,865. (ICE HONG KONG)
