Trade between Kazakhstan and Belarus for the first time exceeded $1 billionTrade between Kazakhstan and Belarus in 2021 for the first time exceeded $1 billion, Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko said.On Thursday, Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov held a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart Roman Golovchenko in Nur-Sultan to discuss a number of urgent issues of further bilateral cooperation, including trade and economic cooperation in industrial production, agro-industrial complex, and construction.At the end of 2021, bilateral trade grew by 15.7%."We are major trade and economic partners. By the end of 2021, the trade turnover between our countries for the first time exceeded a billion. This milestone was reached due to the efforts of the business communities and the governments of the two countries," Golovchenko said.The mutual trade approached $800 million in January-September, increasing by nearly 30% compared to the same period last year.
