Kazakhstan to expand exports to Belarus - governmentKazakhstan plans to expand exports to the Belarusian market, the Kazakh government's press service said.Prior to the meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government in Astana, Kazakh Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov met with Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko to discuss issues of trade, economic, industrial, and agricultural cooperation.In an effort to increase mutual trade, Kazakhstan plans to expand exports to the Belarusian market. The Kazakh government has updated the list of potential export goods for Belarus to consider. Last year, the trade turnover between the countries increased by 20%."At this stage, we are ready to jointly handle the supply of 105 non-commodity goods in various industries," Smailov was quoted as saying in the statement.The Prime Minister noted that industrial cooperation is one of the priority areas of bilateral cooperation with seven joint industrial projects launched and two more underway. Prime Minister stressed that it's important to keep up the pace.Golovchenko recognized great prospects for using Belarusian technologies in joint projects in agriculture, in particular, dairy production in Kazakhstan, and confirmed the commitment to strengthen cooperation across the entire spectrum of bilateral relations.
