Ethiopian Shipping and Logistics Service Enterprise (ESLSE) collected Birr 19.5 billion in the first half of the current fiscal year. The company was able to transport 1.8 million tons of goods during the same period. It also transported 312 thousand tons of unpacked cargo, and 4,500 tons of packed cargo in containers.ESLSE was able to transport 7.2 million tons of dry cargo during the 2021/2022 fiscal year. The Enterprise’s goal for the last fiscal year was to transport 10 million tons of shipment and it managed to achieve 92% of its plan for the year despite global challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic and the war between Russia and Ukraine.ESLSE was created in 2011 as a result of a merger between three public enterprises named Ethiopian Shipping Lines Share Company, Ethiopian Maritime and Transit Enterprise, and Dry Port Enterprise.  (ICE ADDIS ABEBA)
