JORDAN, ITALY'S MED-OR FOUNDATION SIGN LETTER OF INTENT
Amman, Jan. 26 (Petra) -- Jordan signed a letter of intent with the Italian Med-Or Foundation on Wednesday to collaborate in a variety of academic, professional, and technical fields needed in the local labor market.The document was signed by the president of Med-Or, Marco Minniti, and the Jordanian ambassador in Italy, Kais Abu Dayyeh, on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.According to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Thursday, the document entails cooperation and training in many key sectors, including advanced technology, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, modern agricultural technology, medicine and health management, renewable energy and water resources management, as well as initiatives for the promotion and protection of cultural heritage.The agreement crowns an already active collaboration between the Kingdom and the Med-Or, the statement said, indicating that the foundation last year granted funding for 80 online Italian language courses through the ICoN (Italian Culture on the Net) consortium for students from the Jordan University.The Med-Or Foundation seeks to promote cultural initiatives, research and education in science, with the goal to strengthen links, exchanges and international relations between Italy and countries in the Med-Or area, which spans the Mediterranean, the Sahel, the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea, as well as the Near and Far East.
