Kazakhstan to annually invest 400 bln tenge in power sectorAbout 400 billion tenge will be annually invested in the power sector of Kazakhstan under the Tariff in Exchange for Investment Program, Energy Minister Bolat Akchulakov said.“In order to stimulate the business entities to invest in repairs and modernization of power generation assets, we are developing a new program titled Tariff in Exchange for Investment. The amount of investment in the power sector under this program is estimated at about 400 billion tenge a year,” Akchulakov said at a Tuesday meeting in the Energy Ministry on Wednesday.Following the Kazakh president’s instruction, an audit of all power plants and power grids in the republic will be completed in the 1st quarter of 2023, he added.
